A Relic Reborn Walkthrough
A Relic Reborn Quest Sequence.
1 - Pre-requisite: Complete Class and Job quests for respective weapon.
2 - Pre-requisite: Complete Main Scenario Quest and unlock access to Amdapor keep (either through dungeon side quests starting with Aurum Vale or through grand company quest after MSQ)
3 - Talk to Nedrick Ironheart in Vesper Bay to pick up quest "A Relic Reborn"
4 - Talk to Rowena in Revenant's Toll
5 - Talk to Gerolt from Hyrstmill(North Shroud)
6 - Go to respective Beastmen Stronghold and find 'broken' weapon
Zaha'rak = PLD, MNK
Natalan = BRD, DRG
U'Ghamaro Mines = WAR, WHM, BLM
Sapsa Spawning Grounds = SCH
Sylphlands = SMN
7 - Craft/Buy Class weapon and double meld with grade III Materia *see recipe section below*
PLD = Aeolian Scimitar + 2 Battledance III
WAR = Barbarian's Bardiche + 2 Battledance III
MNK = Wilding Cesti + 2 Savage Aim III
DRG = Champion's Lance + 2 Savage Aim III
BRD = Longarm's Composite Bow + 2 Heaven's Eye III
WHM = Madman's Whispering Rod + 2 Quicktongue III
BLM = Sanguine Scepter + 2 Savage Might III
SCH = Erudite's Picatrix Of Healing + 2 Quicktongue III
SMN = Erudite's Picatrix Of Casting + 2 Savage Might III
8 - Obtain Alumina Salts from D'horme Chimera in Coerthas. You must complete this duty as the JOB you are getting the weapon for.
9 - Obtain Amdapoor Glyph from Amdapoor Keep. You must complete this duty as the JOB you are getting the relic for. You get the glyph upon exiting the dungeon. Exchange with Rowena for "Interview with a Padjal"
10 - Slay 24 beastmen in respective stronghold. You need to do so, on the correct JOB and using the UNFINISHED WEAPON.
PLD = 8x Zahar'ak Lancers, 8x Pugilists, 8x Thaumaturges
WAR = 8x U'Ghamaro Quarrymen, 8x Bedesmen, 8x Priests
MNK = 8x Zahar'ak Lancers, 8x Pugilists, 8x Archers
DRG = 8x Natalan Boldwings, 8x Fogcallers, 8x Swiftbeaks
BRD = 8x Natalan Boldwings, 8x Fogcallers, 8x Windtalons
WHM = 8x U'Ghamaro Quarrymen, 8x Bedesmen, 8x Priests
BLM = 8x U'Ghamaro Quarrymen, 8x Bedesmen, 8x Priests
SCH = 8x Sapsa Shelfspine, 8x Shelfclaw, 8x Shelftooth
SMN = 8x Sylpheed Sighs, 8x Screeches, 8x Snarls
11 - Slay Hydra in Halatali. You must complete this duty as the JOB you are getting the relic for.
12 - Obtain White-Hot Ember from Ifrit (Hard). You must complete this duty as the JOB you are getting the relic for.
13 - Obtain Howling Gale from Garuda (Hard). You must complete this duty as the JOB you are getting the relic for.
14 - Obtain Hyperfused Ore from Titan (Hard). You must complete this duty as the JOB you are getting the relic for.
15 - Purchase "Bottle of Radz-at-Han Quenching Oil" for 900 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy

i think you have the info about summoner picatrix wrong. I am doing on for summoner and he asked me for erudite's picatrix of healing with 2 savage might materia III. i bought the wrong book :(
nvm it worked. the quest giver was telling me something else yet he took what u said to get. forget what i said it seems to be right

After spending countless hours...Following incomplete online guides...
The quest start is Geralt from Hyrstmill(North Shroud).. not Nedrick.
Requirement: Its Finish Job/Class quests + Finish Main Story line(up till credit) + do Aurum Vale or Dz Darkhold > Talk to Geralt.
Also i would like to add After Aurum Vale or Dz Darkhold, you will need to talk to Nedrick for Amdapor Keep Access.
It asked me for "materia-enhanced eurdite's picatrix of healing" and I do not even have SCH unlocked.
OMG, long way to go

hello all, So I got the Champion's Lance + 2 Savage Aim III, I dont have the ability to meld so I asked someone who could meld the items for me but didnt work for some reason, could anyone tell me what im missing please... :) thanks

Working on 2nd relic... Make sure you take back your unfinished relic before you fight Ifrit and Garuda or else you WON'T get the key items... >.> lol

You need 900 tomestones of mythology in order to buy 3 Thavnarian Mist from Auriana at Revenant's Toll in Mor Dhona. Once you have those 3, go to Hyrstmill and use the Furnace (unequip relic) near Gerolt and it should request the 3 mists & your relic. Then boom. Zenith.

hi,thx for the walkthrough but I have a problem : ifrit HM done, but i can t attune to garuda's aetheryte...Do u know why
when i try to request a meld it says materia level is too low. but its the exavt same sword materia said in the guides wtf am i doing wrong
I think you will all be pleased to know that as of patch 2.3 the Radz-at-Han Quenching Oil now costs 225 Allagan Tomestones of Mythology :) I got my relic item yesterday and was surprised to see the decrease.

IF i start this quest on my SMN can i do it on my SCH or do i have finsh it on my SMN first

One question though... if anyone knows; does it HAVE to be carpenter to meld the materia to the other weapon (before handing it over)??
My carpenter is only lvl 15, but I have other DoH classes at almost 50. Would another class be able to meld it at 50?

Did i have to go threw credits to do this cause if so i didnt know at the time and skipped them.
Tome amount for Radaz-at-Han Quenching Oil may be off. I only needed 110 for my Dragoon weapon.
@ L'eclisse, This guide was an early version of the relic weapon quest. Patches since then have lowered the amounts of sol for those items.
