This story begins with a young women named Sophia Wynter, born of Ala Mhigo and raised under a wealthy and loyal family to the king.
I'm dreaming...... I think... this has to be a dream.... right? Where am I.. it feels like.. I'm floating?
"Hear" "Feel" "Think"
"Who's their?.... Mummy? Mummy!"
A massive crystal appears before the young girls eyes, the voice becomes ever more clear.
"Child of aether, thou hast been blessed with power beyond thy understanding. For this reason, the darkness seeks you ever more. You are a chosen few of mortal beings, chosen to bare power beyond mortal understanding. For you my child I offer a blessing to defy the darkness and become more then a servant. Touch thy crystal before you, and your aetherial energies shall forever be altered. With my power you will be able to hide and combat the darkness. A right not easily given, but be forewarned, such power of the light comes at a cost.
"I....." she stopped herself, feeling the warmth of the light coming from the crystal. Her nightmares may finally end here and now....
She reached out and touched the crystal with her bare hands and felt the pure power of light flow through her body, giving out a silent scream as she felt her eyes and hair alter to white!
Sophia opened her eyes again, starring at the emptiness that filled her eye sight after that faithful day. She sighed as she reached for the side of her bed and pushed her body upwards now sitting in the bed she thought to herself. A meeting with the king, I don't know if I am worthy of such an honor.... I hope I don't disappoint him.
She reached into her bed drawer and grabbed a shirt to slide on quickly as she stepped toward the door counting her steps as usual heading to the bathroom to get herself ready. Her mothers aetherial presence appeared in the distance, and she quickly gained a feel for the area around her as the aetherial flow became more clear in her eyes once again. "Quickly Sophia you must get ready for your summons! The King would not be pleased if you were late! Some times I wonder why you sleep so much" her mother spouted at her as Sophia headed into the bathroom. She stopped and looked to her mother "I'm nervous... what is it he would want of me?" she asked hesitantly "We shall find out in due time dear, now hurry!" her mother rushed behind her and helped her into the bathroom and shut the door quickly.
She approached the rather large doors of the throne room with her parents behind her. Mother seemingly sounding very proud, "You look great my dear" she said with joy. Her mind began to wander, thinking to herself what color dress was she wearing, do these shoes match? I shouldn't be questioning my mothers style but sometimes a mirror would do me wonders. Sophia then began to feel flushed, unknowing of what was to come. The doors suddenly opened before her she looked on to a great hall and began to walk up to the throne of the king.
She looked to the man sitting in the throne, approaching cautiously, keeping her head down and then kneeled looking down to the ground. "My liege, you have summoned me? I hardly believe myself worthy of such..." he stopped her abruptly, as he stood up and approached her. He placed his hand underneath her chin and pushed her head up to look at him. "The rumors of your gifts... Are they false or are they truth?"
"You're asking for my power my liege?" she asked confused. He smirked at her "As King, I have many uses for someone whom can see the past at will" she realized she was blushing looking up at him "Its not.. at will my liege I have to touch them with my hand." He removed his glove and pulled up his robes sleeve handing his arm to her. "Prove to me, tell me what you see about me." She hesitated.... but removed her glove and touched his arm.
Quickly memories flashed through her eyes and strong feelings of worry, courage and fear overcame her instantly. She let go of his arm, quickly covering her hand trying to shake off the thoughts. "Well? What did you see?" he asked. "I... shouldn't say..." she again hesitated, this time looking at his guards. "Tis fine, speak your peace, you'll not insult here" She quickly moved her mouth to his ear and whispered to him "You are afraid you're not fit for this, you love your people and your country but at times you can't help but worry for them. You fear the future for them but you rarely think much of yourself." He backed up from her, and then took his place at his seat.
"I trust you can use a blade, you have some sort of vision yes?" she nodded to him "I have extensive training my liege, my father taught me" she motioned to her father bowing down before the King. "Good, You start tomorrow as my personal Seer and a guardswoman to the throne. Dismissed."
"Hah! So that's the tale of how the great White Eyes made to Royal Guard? Grand story girl, though it's only been a few years I dare suggest you have helped quite a bit around here, seer or no." Rabuahn smiled at her across the table and took a quick drink of ale. She smirked over at him, "Bull please, that was nothing, he was far more impressed at my sword skills when asked to show them off." she blushed thinking about that day as well. "I'll bet he was, who wouldn't be? You and your Ability with a sword... well.." Ilberd smirked again thinking himself cleaver with that remark.
Sophia shook her head at him, "You're sense of humor is not lost just not appreciated." she gave him a smug look of distaste before she stood from her chair. "Apologies boys I must be off, I have to take a stroll around the city today. Ala Mhigo has a few new merchants heading into town as well, best to show them their way." She walked out of the tavern and looked around at the beautiful aether flow before her that made the city. Reaching down to sheath her blade to her belt and putting her shield on her back, she set out to patrol outside for a little while, hoping to help someone in need.

The picture of the girl with the sword and shield is suppose to be Sophia... the other picture I just added because I really liked it, which is of Esper giving that feel of the opposites! Thought it fit well at least. Anywho, Clearly I won't finish before Heavensward already looking at this as the first chapter, haven't even broken into the story much yut!
I'll continue to work on it as time goes on. Some of heavensward will probably help fill in some gaps anyway later on. Anywho.... Esper off till next time :3
