Awakening from a deep sleep she looked to the door again, hoping someone would come. Gods I'm hungry, please come give me something to eat! Over two days of fasting, with naught even that of water offered. Do they intend to allow me to die here? Slowly I pushed myself from the floor sitting up against the wall, weak with fatigue.
Pulling myself to my feet and cautiously approaches the door. My eyesight darkened for a second, stopping I grasped for the wall. Allowing it to guide me to the door. Finally I reached it, resting myself upon the metal, letting it cool my body. Slowly lifting my right arm I banged it relentlessly at the door again.
"Hello!?"
Banging at the door again trying to grasp anyone's attention.
"Please! All I want is a drink of water! I'll do any-" Stopping herself at the thought of what she may be promising. Shaking the thought, it mattered not at this point. If I don't eat I'm going to die.
"Anything!" she stated finishing her sentence.
She stands in silence listening to anything she could. Nothing but silence in return for her effort. Banging at the door again, harder this time she quickly felt herself weak and fell to her knees.
"Please.."
Falling to the ground now, something was wrong with this place. The aetherial energy she once commanded was seemingly blocked. What could be powerful enough to do that? She closed her eyes and drifted in and out of slumber trying to ignore her bodies needs. I best save my energy, or next time I'll pass out unable to wake up probably.
She heard footsteps coming from afar, her eyes quickly opened listening. Hoping at every step that they'll come to her door. As if heard, the door opened before her, shining a blinding light upon her. Looking up she saw an elezen male smirking at her. He held no food, no water, just shackles clattering together in his hands.
"Sit up, put your hands behind your back."
I did as I was ordered. He quickly clasped my right arm, pulling the chain through my collar as he clasped my left. Placing a blindfold over my eyes to keep me from seeing. Clipping what felt like a leash upon my collar he pulled me to my feet and made me follow. I did so stumbling the entire time as if lifeless.
Traversing up a flight of stairs and down several halls. A door opened before me and I was thrown in! Falling to the ground as I tried to regain myself. My hunger set in, unable to move much I stayed on the ground.
"So this is the one who put your crew to shame?" a mans voice stated
"Aye, We put her down tho! She be a fine piece of arse if I do say so meself! Had the bloody forest protectin 'er."
"I thought you said she was a fighter, and Garlean sympathizer. She doesn't look old enough to be a sympathizer, let alone a figher. However, that doesn't mean she can't be melded into one."
"Bah, she has fighting spirit, just ask me boys!"
"Yes, she, Stunned your men, did she kill any of them?"
"I-"
"Do you know if she's ever killed before?"
"Well... nay! But I'm sure she's had a swag o blood at least once!"
Foot steps closer and closer, the blindfold was taken off as I looked around to grasp my surroundings. Another room, metal from top to bottom. The roegadyn from before looking down upon me along with a lalafell. My gaze was quickly averted to a man in chains in the middle of the room. He looked weaker then I and their was much evidence of him being tortured.
"Ah, so you've noticed one of our Many Garlean captives."
The lalafell smiled at me, clearly satisfied with himself. His smile continued as he brought out a blade and placed it before me on the ground.
"Unbind her, I want her to Prove to me she can at least kill for her own well being before I make my purchase."
Purchase? Did he mean he was to purchase me?! What does he mean my own well being?! As if on queue my stomach growled, a nice reminder of my hunger. The chains were released, my arms now holding me up. My so called buyer now approached, kicking the blade closer to me.
"This man is of no use to me anymore, He's given all the information he's going to. In fact he even told us everything their was to know about his family, while singing! I want you to kill him girl. End his misery and suffering, and then I'll feed you, and make my choice on weather to purchase you or not."
Looking down upon the blade I felt my hunger taking over as I found my hand gently holding it.
"I've never killed a man before, I don't want to kill." Stating my resolve I could not help but shiver at the lalafells laughter.
"I'm making the choice easy for you girl. He's not worth you to suffer further. He's a spy, and traitor to this land. We found him in the home of a city guardsman, whos family he had desolated in far more then one way!"
"Why must I kill?! I just want to go back to the forest and keep to myself! Please!"
He sighed at me and was about to take the blade away until he noticed my grasp was still quite tight upon it.
"Baymond, if you would please." he stated with glee it seemed. The Roegadyn placed a double barrel pistol to my temple.
"Their now my dear, does that make your choice easier? Kill him, or Baymond will spread your brains across the room. Where that would be a shame, I'm sure another young girl like you will come along eventually for sale."
Looking upon the man as I held the blade close. I arose to my feet and starred. My deepest regret lay in looking upon his eyes. Fear filled them and clouded my thoughts as a moved the blade to his chest and pressed it into his heart.
"Ah ah ah! now now dear, savor this, twist the blade a bit, make him suffer yes?"
The roe pressed the gun harder to my head. To kill is one thing, but to make him suffer so? This is not right, I can't.
"Hey! Hurry up!" the roe yelled at me while clicking his gun. Feeling tears fall from my eyes I did as I had to, not letting my eyes move from my victims.
"Gmmmm-mmmmmmm!" he screamed as I twisted the blade, his body began to convulse as he fell into shock. Quickly my hands fell away from him as I backed away in fear. Watching his eyes the entire time as the went back into his head and he died screaming in pain. I fell to my knees ashamed and full of uncontrollable dread.
My capture, placed a bowl of food before me with a cup of water. Without hesitation I ate it all listening to them chat.
"I'm still unsure, she took an awfully long time to convince. Surely she will not last long in the ring."
"Bah, give 'er 'nough reason, she be doing as she told!"
"Hmmm, well if not for the ring then I can at least use her for other things. How much?"
"Well as ye said, she has multiple use, and she unspoiled! Rather fit young lass, I couldn't let 'er go without say..... seven mil?"
"Seven? you're out of your league, Not a gil over three."
"Well, I be willin ta bet I can spoil 'er fer that price. But I ain't 'er fer lustin, I'm here for coin! six and a half."
"Four million And free intel for replenishing your wares so to speak!"
the roegadyn smiled
"Bad start lad, 6 5 and that info!"
"I'll not go over 5, and you can forget about the information"
"Six, and the info That be more then generous for a high quality product such as an hyur gal her age in her condition!"
The lalafell remained silent for a moment then snickered.
"Very well six, and the information. You're quite good at this Baymond"
"I'll want my pay up front!"
They continued to talk, as I continued to shove food in my mouth, crying in my own pity. Telling myself their was no choice was all I could do. Trying not to admit to myself, it felt ever so slightly good to see a garlean suffer so.....
"Yah Yah, I heard you! I'm on my way to speak with the General as you yelp in my ear. ......No we haven't confirmed it is one of those. I'll know more when I see it in action at the Coliseum."
"Sigh, Aensland out!"
