As the night filled the sky, the search parties became smaller. Western Thanalan was crawling with Brass Blades all around. Des hardly had time to hide as they infested Vesper Bay and Horizon. Remaining in hiding was not an issue to her. However remaining in the shadows for nearly a week had taken it's toll upon her.
As she stepped out from a ledge she stretched. Gazing out into the distant, she gazed down the ledge to see the endless body of water beneath her. The Silver Bazaar's host Kikipu was gracious enough to keep her secret and hidden while the Brass Blades invaded the town. She seemed more then happy to help in a Scions time of need. Brass Blades still roamed the town, however only a few remained around the Bazaar.
Des sat down and began to think quietly on her next move. She knew naught what had happened to everyone else. Her thoughts grew dark as she felt Thencred and Y'shtola disappear. Perhaps they teleported further away then she could sense, or perhaps they had perished. What ever may have happened, she could not forget the feeling of aether coursing around the area they were whispered to have run into.
A sound was heard from over head. She turned to glance, and jumped backwards immediately as a man hit the ground beside her. Her eyes widened as she realized it was a Brass Blade, dead. She turned to see where he came from and realized someone had killed all the guards in the area.
"What in the bloody seven hells?"
She heard a voice from behind her. A deep male voice with a smile upon his face.
"Well, finally I found one of you."
She turned to see a man clad in a tight suit, armored lightly head to toe. A silver helmet upon his head shaped as that of a coeurl, covering his entire face.
"Now, tell me, Where might I find Subject 0?"
Des bit her lower lip at his words. Realizing their was only one type of person whom called Eidolon such, a Garlean.
"Wish I knew."
She grasped her blades quickly ready to attack, only to see him disappear.
"Shame, I suppose I will just have to play with you for now then."
"You're barking up the wrong tree soldier boy-"
Swiftly she felt a hand jab her in the chest, fracturing two ribs.
"Guh!!"
"Oh, did that hurt?"
A harsh slap across the face forced her off her feet and swiftly into a hill side. She opened her eyes to see him walking slowly towards her. Swiftly she picked herself up, holding onto her blades and ran towards him. As she slashed towards him, her blades were met by his own. They began to spark with lightning as their blades met countless times.
"This should be quite fun haha!"
******
I heard footsteps again in the distance as the Brass Blades made their "rounds" to the women. My eye still hurt from being shocked. They stripped me to naught but my skin as I was dragged in chains down the cell chambers. I cried as they made Raubahn watch while they violated me. The image of Ilberd still burning in my mind as they held me down. His words ever lasting as they gagged me and chained my limbs to a post.
"I admit, I was hoping you would not talk. I don't mind seeing you like this. Now, don't you worry, I won't let them destroy your other eye. After all, you should be allowed to witness all of which you'll be enduring."
I witnessed more then my mind could truly handle that night. The true nature of man was becoming all to clear to me. A tear fell from my eye, caught by the blindfold over them. As I lay upon the ground in my cell, I am covered with only chains, a gag and a blindfold. My collar remained active the entire time.
Cowering in the corner I limped to after playing last nights... "entertainment", I could only wonder what was on the list for today. I jumped in fear as the door opened loudly. Footsteps harsh across the ground approached me and stopped right before they reached me.
"Mmmmm, what a sight."
The all to familiar voice rang in my ears. I yelped aloud as I felt freezing water hit my body all around. Ilberd laughed at me as the stood tall over me.
"Lets see here, ahhh here we are."
I heard him walk to the side of the cell and the sound of chains clap together. He began to pull on them and my body began to move back to the middle as it dragged me and began to lift me up. Pulling on them harsh, he shouted aloud to others.
"Help a bit will ya? Get her up all the way."
More boots were heard as they moved towards the chains and pulled hard upon them. My body was lifted to my tip toes only resting upon the ground. Arms held high over me as my head slung down. My ankles chained to the ground, as my body remained suspended in the middle of the cell room.
"That, is a beautiful site isn't it lads? Damn near art if ya ask me."
"Aye, Think I would like a good taste of that meself."
"Stand outside lads, I've some fun to have."
"Aye sir!"
I heard them walk out and the door creep near closed. Ilberds footsteps heard as he moved himself all around me. He brought his hand to my thigh and moved it to my bottom muscle.
"Gnmmmm.."
"Like that? I know I don't mind it."
"Grnnmmmmm.."
"What's that? Do you have some information for me yet?"
He reached up and grasped the gag from behind, loosening it, allowing for it to fall down upon my collar.
"Go on, tell me. Heart of Sabik."
"W-"
"Yes?"
"WHY!?"
"Oh that is far less interesting. You want to know why I want it? Or perhaps why I did all this?"
I huffed loudly, breathing with my mouth as much as I could.
"I want the heart to power Omega Weapon. With it I can take the fight to the Garleans. You know, the ones who sheltered your pale freckled arse while you grew up."
"I was their Experiment not their damned ally!"
He slapped me across the face and I slung my head down again sulking.
"Gods I hate you. I hate you so much. Do you know why? Do you Want to know why?"
He reached his hand up and grasped my collar pulling my head up to him.
"You look SO much her, the Lady of Light. And your damned Father. Piss on that man, tainting MY woman like that. Then she gave birth to you. A damned spawn of hell. Gods I hate your hair, your eyes, they remind me so much of him."
He moved his hand between my legs and began to enjoy himself.
"I... I don't understand... why.... you said she was a hero to the people!"
He stopped and shouted out loud at me.
"SHE MADE US WEAK!"
He ripped off my blindfold and slicked back his hair. His grin was gone, his face filled with anger.
"You know what good she brought to us? Nothing. She made things easier for the higher ups and gave "hope" to the people. False hope, I showed them that. I had to."
"What do you mean?"
He smiled at me and placed his hand gently under my chin.
"You want to know a secret? Something you and I only, will take to our graves?"
Bringing his face closer to my ear, he bit it hard and tugged at it for a moment before letting go.
"I informed the Garleans of the escape plan. It had to be done, you see she was a monster, just like him and you. You, I thought to be dead, I wished, hells I hoped! Imagine my surprise when I saw you in the Rising Stones! Their could be no denying it, like a ghost come to haunt me."
"You are an idiot."
He punched me hard in my gut making me cry out I pain.
"I did what was best for Ala Mhigo. With her, their would be no future, no resistance, no fight. Ala Mhigo will be saved. Help me avenge the life you lost, and I promise you, I will see to it you are left alone quietly down here from now on."
He let go of my chin and my head slumped down again. I rested it upon my shoulder, exhausted.
"Shall I let you think it over?"
I quickly spit at him hitting him right in his face. My eyes starred deep at him. Where one remained red, the other was now white. My hatred wore clear upon my face as I starred him down.
"I see, well!"
He wiped his face and punched me hard in the gut causing me mouth to open, allowing him to gag me again.
"Bring him!"
The cell door opened wide again revealing many guards around a man kneeling upon the ground. He looked up at me forcefully, gazing upon me again.
"Raubahn...."
"Yes, your dear friend, I wonder, did you know he knew your mother as well? Tried to save her and all! Only to fail, shame he has blamed himself for so long is it not?"
Ilberd grasped a whip in his hands and held upon it tightly.
"Let me show you the truth Bull. You can not save her, you Never will be able to save her."
He whipped me across my belly and I screamed out in pain looking down to see a giant gash across it. Tears fell from my eyes as I helplessly awaited for the next.
*****
Desdemona grasped her right arm, unable to move it. The man had torn muscles within it while he twisted until he broke the bone. Her leg bled all around while she attempted to limp forward still trying to attack him. As she slashed at him once more, he caught her arm and snapped the bone instantly.
"GAHH!!!!!"
"What? Is that all?"
She fell to her knees glancing up at him trying to get up. Biting hard into her lip, blood began to trickle. He walked up to her and grasped her by her face pulling her up. A dagger in his hands shined bright, her Diamond Dicer. Instantly she felt her body stabbed through in several areas.
"Very nice knife."
He let her go and dropped her next to the ledge of the mountain side.
"You can keep it."
He flung it hard into her belly causing her to spit out blood.
"Oh well, I suppose playtime is over. Why don't you wash up?"
He kicked her hard in her side. The force of the kick projected her quickly into a rock at the bottom of the mountain.
"Splat. Hahaha!"
The man walked away chuckling to himself seemingly amused.
"Now, where's my quarry?"
*****
Des remained on the rock, unable to move as her sight began to fade. Tears filled her eyes as she lost consciousness. Blue flames began to cover her entire body and a symbol upon her back began to glow.
