I placed down several of the new adventure hunts we were ready to display. Looking down at them, I could not help but wonder if perhaps we were making the adventurers do far to much. Since I had taken over, it seemed much of the issues each city-state was having, ended up in our laps. Sighing to myself, I glanced down at my undies. Realizing I still needed to get ready for the ceremony, I quickly turned away from my desk and walked to the entrance of the Solar.
Opening the door, I simply made my way from the Solar to my room. The quiet hall of the Rising Stones was unsettling as I listened to my bare feet pressing upon the ground while I entered my room. Shutting the door behind me, I glanced to my closet in the corner and quickly approached it. After a long moment, I found an outfit I thought would fit my position and began to disrobe. As I tossed my top and bottom underwear aside, a knock at the door alarmed me, and I quickly reached down to grasp my undies, only to have the door open up.
Sighing, I glanced upon not one, but two men walking into my room. Instead of covering up, I placed my hands upon my hips rather annoyed. Skan and Ryu glanced me up and down in my full naked glory while turning slightly red in the face.
"Oh did we-"
"Come in without me suggesting you could? Why sure why not? Nothing but a naked Antecedent attempting to get ready for a ceremony!"
Skan kept blushing for a moment as he tensed up a bit.
"We could let you get dressed first I suppose."
Rolling my eyes, I crossed my arms over my breasts, moving my legs apart, rather annoyed and willing to make any I could uncomfortable.
"No, go on! Let us here what was so urgent you need barge in."
Ryu shrugged at me, clearly not phased by my nudity. After spending nearly a month together, he was quite accustomed to it. He made his way to a wooden chair in the corner and sat down with a serious look upon his face.
"Skan has informed me of something quite troubling. You had an bit of an outburst at the competition?"
I glanced over to Skan whom shrugged a bit.
"Tis nothing new exactly... Though I have not done it in Several years. Last time I did it.... I think I ended up hurting the previous Emperor of Garlemeld."
Ryu looked towards Skan whom was clearly keeping a thought to himself.
"How long have you been able to use this fire? I want to know more."
I kept my eyes on Ryu for a moment and shook my head.
"I do not know.... Perhaps since the Garleans and Master Midas experimented on me. Midgardsormr explained to me that I-"
"Midgardsormr?!"
Ryu stepped slightly backwards as he looked me up and down.
"Yes... But of course... He would... but to choose a mortal being.."
I kept my eyes upon Ryu in complete confusion as he continued to ponder quietly. Peering up, he continued to question me further upon the subject.
"What connection have you been given with the King of Wyrms?"
Shrugging a bit, I could not dismiss his worried look.
"When I was but a child, I was shot through the gut by a Garlean weapon. My mother gave a majority of her own power to save my life. However this only slowed my decent in health... stopping the time if you will. In order to save me completely, the scientist, Midas Garland, infused my body with a sort of... essence from Midgardsormr. He stated it was collected right after the fall of the Agrius."
Skan kept very quiet as he kept his eyes from my own. Ryu continued to listen while I explained further.
"When I met Midgardsormr, he infused his blood with mine. It .... Completed me in a sense. This is what allows me to change form-"
"At will... yes, a hypothesis your father shared long ago. Wyrm blood, a lasting ingredient to finishing the Esper race into a final version of themselves. This is starting to make sense."
Ryu stated towards me as he crossed his arms. I looked at him with a confused look.
"Well I am glad it is! Because now I am curious."
He looked me up and down for a moment.
"The Warrior of light had an aetherial version of Midgardsormr combine with his body. Tapping into the Warrior of Lights aether, he can create a body. However, this was not a permanent solution. He finally created a new body absorbing a small portion of the aether from Nidhoggs eye, when the Warrior of Light had it in his posession. You however, you represent something quite interesting."
I remained quiet as I continued to listen.
"You are to be his successor of sorts. It makes some sense in a way. That he would give you the keys to his throne in a sense of the word. He crafted you to become his own esper. Someone whom may have a longer lifespan then the majority of mortals could even dream of."
"So... what are you suggesting? Midgardsormr is my primal god? Much like the espers of old whom would become enthralled?"
Ryu nodded to me with a slight grin.
"Who gave you the power of the Echo?"
I kept quiet, not wanting to answer him.
"It was him, wasn't it? He gave you his own gift to make sure you remained untainted. Incapable of being enthralled. He wants you to remain with free will."
"So.... all this time, he has been courting me? For ...what?"
Ryu shrugged towards me as he glanced over to Skan.
"Care to make any sort of suggestion Skan?"
He shook his head for a moment, thinking upon it.
"All I can gather is the fact that her abilities up till this point, have not altered. Now, we see her body is likely adjusting to access a full potential as you may call it."
Ryu shrugged at Skan, looking back towards me.
"Why now does it begin to take form?"
Skan smiled a bit as he looked to Ryu.
"With all the dragon activity of late perhaps? Visiting the ancient home lands of those whom walked before. Something sparked it back up from its hibernation none the less."
SKan stopped for a moment and immediately turned around, facing the door.
"The Princess of Wyrms is finally awakening. Potential for more power in so many forms. Do yourself a favor and get yourself ready to gather more primal energy."
As he walked out, I quickly walked out after him. Ryu held a hand up trying to stop me, but I dismissed it, continuing as I walked out to the main hall. Skan was just about to stop and take a seat when he looked upon me.
"Uhhh Eidolon-"
I stopped him before he could talk.
"What do you mean? Why do I need more primal energies? What is this about?"
He shrugged towards me and answered as best he could.
"The primal energy is allowing your power to finally awaken. All that power combining to allow you to reach your full potential. Something Midgardsormr likely foresaw, which is why he picked you as his successor."
"Oh.... I see.... How is it that you would know that?"
Skan grinned towards me for a long moment.
"I would tell you. However, that is something I will just have to keep a secret."
I pouted for a moment, rolling my eyes as I began to head towards the Entrance to the Rising Stones.
"Uhhhhmmmm Eidolon."
"Sorry, thank you for your theories Skan. I should get going.
"Esper..."
He kept trying to get my attention and I kept ignoring as I quickly stopped and turned around, walking to the bar for a moment.
"Antecedent..."
I looked back at Skan and shrugged at him with confusion.
"Yes? What?"
"You... well... I mean you do not Have to I suppose... But Maybe you should put some.....clothing on?"
I raised an eyebrow and looked down upon my naked body and sighed. The door the the Rising Stones opened and I glanced over to see Krohman walking in with a bundle of weapons over his shoulder. He stopped, and looked upon me, with his mouth immediately dropping.
"Wow..."
I blushed a bit as I began to walk back to my room.
"Wait wait! I only meant that I had not noticed that tattoo on your back!"
I slammed my door behind me, quickly walking towards my clothing. As I bent over to reach for my discarded underwear, I glanced between my legs to see Ryu was still sitting in the chair next to the door.
"Oh don't mind me, I was just quite comfortable here."
I rolled my eyes at him as I tossed my undies aside and pushed myself up straight.
"Clearly."
Grasping him by his collar, I quickly opened the door, and pushed him outside of the room, shutting the door and locking it behind him.
I raised my right eyebrow as I thought about the Krohmans words
"Tattoo?"
I walked to the mirror and looked on my back to see it bare still. Immediately walking to my door, I opened it and shouted aloud.
"THEIR IS NO TATTOO ON MY BACK!"
Krohman laughed aloud and peaked over the corner.
"Your image is tattooed on my eyes though!"
"URRRGG!"
Slamming the door, I locked it again and rushed off into the bathroom to shower.
