Hello Darlings~
Isn't it funny how sometimes I feel like I don't have enough time to play, and other times I don't play on purpose because I've been playing too much? Hyperfixations be like, right?
Anyway! I've chosen to split my time at the moment between working on the Ixals (should hit Sworn tomorrow!) and working on Pictomancer, and while working on Picto, work on my Trust A-Team. As you can see, my husbands are coming along quite well, and I'll soon retire them and work on the B-Team. I almost hit 89 before I got the server warning to log out. <*shaking a fist*> Tomorrow! Let's be honest, though, I'll be hitting 90 tomorrow!
I didn't think Picto would be much fun, but it feels a lot like Summoner. ALOT a lot. It's fast and elemental based, and if I'm being super honest, it's a little bit of a copout. Why'd they need to make it if they weren't going to make it unique at all? They use a few art terms in the spells, they really could have leaned into that. LMAO like, "Portrait of [place instead of element]" for single target, and "Landscape of [place]" for AoE. I think that would have been really cute/funny and I just made it up!
Running with my boys just makes me miss them, though, and I'm really going to hate going back to the DT dungeons where everyone refuses to talk just because they weren't there. It just reminds me that in both Shadowbringers AND Endwalker, no matter who you took to a dungeon, they would always comment on what they were seeing there.
I'm not inviting debate, if you're enjoying DT I'm glad. I'm just not. It's empty and heartless and they've let a lot of their old wholesome, heart-warming details slide. I can tell they KNOW a lot of people haven't been enjoying DT, because why would they choose now to give us an Endwalker-themed moon to level crafting on? Have any of you noticed that the music on Phaenna is a Loporrit Jazz version of the song from the Firmament? It's ncie, but it just makes me say "Oh, I know what you're doing now." Why isn't the music unique? Why is it a remix? (It's a good remix, but. Why.) I'm honestly just curious at this point.
Ah well.
Maybe I'll go work on a chapter of one of my fics.
