Dear reader..
I'm doing well. how are you?
As Autumn nears it's end, we say goodbye to my favourite season and hello to another great season.
There's something about both Autumn and Winter that feels very magical. It's not so much to do with any holidays, but things like being up at the early hours, when the sun still hasn't risen, and hearing the birds singing. Seeing the early morning dew on the grass and condensation on the windows. Staying warm by a fire with a hot drink and enjoying personal time. The gloominess has always been very soothing and poetic to me, and feels comforting, like getting into a freshly made bed after a shower. I always get that same feeling when visiting Ishgard! It's one of my favourite places to visit at this time of year.
Also, can't forget making various foods and drinks. From delicious vegetables and pies, (the very best coming from Gridania, of course!) to making cups of coffee and cocoa, and even baking coffee biscuits!
I first found out about coffee biscuits from a nice lady that I met on my travels. It was very, very far away from home.
It is to be noted that a lot of animals have gone into hibernation and won't be back until the Spring time.
In the Spring, I promise you and I can go frog searching together! You can find them in all sorts of places. Like under BIG mushrooms, in or beside ponds, and even inside tipped over watering cans. But for now, let us enjoy and celebrate the very beautiful and melancholic season that nature has provided us.
Usually, at this time of the year, I love to play a game on my Tomestone device. You play as a villager in a town where you make friends with other villagers. The game plays in real time, and so the seasons also relate to our world's seasons. The music in the game is very relaxing and always makes me feel so sleepy, so I end up falling asleep not long after playing it. (not forgetting to save the game before turning it off, though!) There's also another game I play where you harvest crops and look after farm animals. Although I spent so much of my time growing up in Gridania that it just felt like another ordinary day in Gridania.
