This may come as a surprise, but I'm a solo player. That is to say, with a few exceptions here and there, I strongly prefer being on my own. Unfortunately, this doesn't work very well when it comes to earning money. Where there's a will, there's a way, though. Hunts. That should get me some pocket change without having to contend with the economic nightmare that is the market board. Although at some point I'd like to try and crash the market just for the evilz. That's besides the point though.
Here's what I need:
> A semi-well-paying hunt that doesn't require a party.
> A hunt that pays in gil.
> A level 80 character so I can actually make this happen.
I don't want to necessarily make more money than some rando salesperson, I just wanna prove that solo monster hunting can be a viable source of income. And I also want to make the Novice Network angry. I take a special sadistic pleasure in pissing people off by going against the grain.
That's all for now.
EDIT: I should probably mention that my primary class is only level 61.
I do the daily hunts for nuts. They are a decent source of exp and the sacks can be exchanged for end game materia, which is worth a good amount of change. Retainer ventures can occasionally grant a valuable item. Solo treasure maps can sometimes give good drops too. If you have a house, voyages and gardening can be profitable. If you have retainer space, buy dyes in bulk or from vendors and sell small stacks for profit.
Level your gathering classes, sell things you gathered. If it sells slowly introduce more until undercutters "crash the market" on you. Find something else to gather, sell it.
HIt's your requirements: Solo? CHECK Make gil? CHECK
Next, you and your chicken go snipe A ranks in ARR locations. Can (at 80 maxed gear ) handle most HW A ranks. Solo? CHECK Kinda Chad like behavior? CHECK
Use your ARR hunt seals for seeds to grow fruit to change chickens color and sell them.
