TuesdayAlso, like yesterday, get ready for a lot of memes, GIFs, and images. I'm not a meme/image/GIF fiend, but I am finding them very helpful right now. FWIW these are very long and tedious to make, so I'm guessing this is just a passing phase. Guessing.Ouchie lol!I've been forgetting to mention, I've done very little in the way of workouts lately. I've only been doing about 10 or so
incline push-ups and about 5ish
chest dips. The front of my shoulders, my elbows, and my wrists have been hurting lately, due to me doing some extra heavy lifting at my job. So I'm doing the few exercises that don't really hurt me much (except maybe dips, but I find those to be
way too effective a chest exercise to
not do).
Otherwise, all I can say is: I'm sure glad I haven't eaten
these foods in many, many years!

Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn this evening. I worked on Chapter Four & Five, where I helped the rebel fish-people kill the mad king tyrant. So, they'll now live happily ever after, I guess.
But after that, things started going downhill. It seems from Chapter Five on, most bosses and sub-bosses can't be soloed by me. How, you might ask (get ready for a lot of links!)?:
• I had to use a "click-kill" cheat on a
"balor" monster in order to progress in Chapter Five. He can naturally see invisible creatures, making my invisibility completely useless, even with
non-detection (via cloak). This renders my only real offensive tool null and void. And he uses stun and "hold" attacks that I have no way of counteracting (except with
Free Action-type effects, but that neuters me in the process, since it removes my speed buffs), which effectively shuts me down completely. To say nothing of the fact that he can already kill me in 2-3 hits. So, yeah. Gonna have to get a free pass for this one.
• I needed to use a "reveal map" cheat, then a "click-teleport" cheat in order to get past a bunch of
Kuo-Tuoans that can naturally detect invisibility, same as Balor above, as well as having stun attacks that I have no real answer for.
• Aaaaaaand yet another "click-kill" cheat, this time on a
beholder enemy. Like the others, he can naturally detect invisibles. Heck, he can't even be backstabbed. There goes my main source of damage.
:/> He can also dispel all my buffs (like extra speed and protection from mind-affecting abilities) at will and use mind control, which ends my game right then and there since I'm playing solo.
Sensing a theme here? Because of this, I
might be playing another game, probably going back to Planescape: Torment, but we'll see. I might use cheats, but I've still got my pride.
-_-WednesdayThis morning I played some Pinball.
Pinball FX3 went kinda meh. I did great on Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, but the game decided to fuck up on me and not save my score, so I quit the game immediately, not wanting to waste any more effort.
My
Pinball Arcade session, however, went very well. I did pretty good on most of the tables I played, and I even beat the high score on
Wipe Out, a table I usually suck at! Definitely the kind of session I wish I got more often.
This evening I played
FF XIV, but for only a couple of hours, due to bad sleep (shoulders & right arm hurting, as well as sinus issues). But during that time I worked on my scholar some more, running my usual hunts and Pixie beast tribe quests, and eventually got level 76.
Got Cutter's Cry as a leveling roulette, with a speed-racing pull-happy tank that wouldn't wait for anyone.
Seems you can't make memes out of GIFs. Oh well, I tried. >:|>To be fair, he used CDs, but still,..... And I also had DPSers that either didn't know or wouldn't do mechanics, because I'm having to heal up some unnecessary damage on them, as well as dispelling avoidable debuffs (floor explosions & paralysis from the last boss comes to mind).
But on the upside, although it seems more like a backhanded compliment than anything,:
I'm guessing that the one that didn't comm was the tank, just barreling out the door after the boss dropped, gotta go fast, and all.....But since I was getting groggy and I've done all the leveling I wanted to do for the day I just started working on making some of the level 78 healer gear I'll be needing, to make it a bit easier on me when I reach level 77. After that, I just shut down for the night.
