Tuesday



Over the course of the day I watched a documentary about The Iron Sheik. Pretty good movie. And WOW! He basically grew up in my home state of Minnesota (after emigrating from Iran). Never knew that!

And a late Guild Wars 2 session today, due to me forgetting to buy new headphones this morning when I went shopping, so I had to make an emergency run to Wal-Mart to buy another pair. *sigh*



Outside of that though, for the session it was my warrior alt (Good Ol' Charlie Brown) again. Doing my usual crafting, and eventually I managed to craft my way to level 70ish, prompting me to upgrade my "Diviner's" gear from level 44 equipment to level 68.

And once all my logistical stuff was squared away, I went out and got going on open-world map completion in the starting zone. But eventually I cried uncle (some of the vistas and points of interest - Guild Wars 2's version of aether currents - are super hard to get to without giving in and looking on YouTube/Google) and broke off and worked on a few of the storyline quests, before having to shut down, again due to my tablet being at only 20% charge (Time to retire this rusty bucket of bolts), as well as having to get going on this blog post.

Wednesday

This morning I decided not to do my weekly Pinball session, as I've been on a real cold streak lately (beating my high score on Alien vs. Predator notwithstanding). Instead, I went ahead and did a morning Guild Wars 2 session. And like last night it was my warrior alt. I started off by doing my usual crafting. After that, I began working on the storyline quests, eventually making it to the level 50 questline, as well as reaching level 80 on my guy. Yes!



And I played on this stream, a new kind of music I found recently: "Brazilian Doomer" music.



Some good stuff. And one of my regulars, w1ld_tracer, actually suggested I listen to some "Russian Boomer" music, but it sounded like very bland pop/rock music, the kind I often hear at work, so it got axed after a short time. But he also suggested "Russian Doomer" music as well. Sounds almost like The Cure. Awesome!



And I was only on FF XIV for a short time, since I went a bit overlong on my stream, and I still had to get gas, something I kept forgetting to do for the past few days. I was only on long enough to do my retainer ventures, squadron missions, and a few hunts.



And in one of the very rare sessions I had, I got "raided" by someone named Vallun, with about 90 people. But unfortunately, I think they might've been all viewbots, as not a single one of them said a word to me. On one end, I appreciate the fact that he cares enough to do this, especially to a total stranger. On the other hand though, it feels artificial, very kid pro quo-ish. I never know how to respond to these "properly", except just be my normal self, and it is what it is.

And for the Guild Wars 2 stream itself this evening, like has been going on for days now, it was my warrior alt. I did some mat crafting, then I got going on some of the storyline. Then I decided to start doing some dungeon running, starting with the lowest leveled one, and working my way up (both story and "exploration", where there's three different mini-quests you can do in each dungeon). And tomorrow, looks like it'll be more of the same. Really liking this character right now. :)>
