Joe's Unstable Weekend, 4/17 - 4/19

Going forward, I will no longer be adding Peanuts headers to my stream blogs unless I've got a very good reason to do so. It's gotten harder and harder to find them - and I avoid repeating comics - now taking AT LEAST 15 minutes just to find 2-3 comics. Very very tedious at this point. Not a fan of doing this (they add a nice touch to the blogs, I think), but it is what it is.

Didn't do world bosses today, since there were very few people around to do them. Instead, I just did the open-world dailies and worked on the Asura - Guild Wars 2's equivalent of Lalafell - storyline. But eventually due to stream instability I ended up tapping out and calling it a session.

And run_with_the_kittens dropped by today. Good to see him! (oh, and yeah, that light blue text? That's how it actually comes up in my chat. Can't remember how he pulled it off though....) It's been a long time since I've seen him. Apprently he needed a new monitor for his computer, and eventually got one for free. So I'm guessing he'll start coming around more. Hopefully.

And the records I played today were:

Jethro Tull - Thick as a Brick
Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin II

Last night and this morning I continued playing Guild Wars 2, working on the Asura storyline and some of the world bosses I couldn't get to during my afternoon/evening stream.

My longest stream vid (I restarted my stream a lot):

Grasping at straws this time around. My stream was super unstable today, even going completely dead at times. I found temporary relief by switching Twitch servers. It would work great for a little while, but then go back to the typical bullshit. So, I don't know.....

And for the LP vinyls I spun this evening they were:

Pink Floyd - Obscured by Clouds
Vangelis - Spiral
Igor Stravinsky - The Rites of Spring

So, last night and this morning I did my usual, playing my Asura and Charr engineers and mixing it up between doing a few storyline quests and killing a few world bosses.

Excellent Guild Wars 2 session today. To start, I felt kinda wimpish doing this, but I covered up my OBS to where I couldn't see my stream health, to keep my stress level down. And it appeared it didn't need to, as my stream was completely stable this time! And hopefully it stays that way. Hopefully.

And so for today's session I did a bit of both world bosses and storyline questing. And another kinda gripe about gw2 from doing these quests, although it's nothing unique to gw2: Too much literacy, where ALL the races sound intelligent. Even primitve, barbaric tribes sound like Toastmasters. Kind of a first-world issue, but still,..... :/>

But on the other hand, what an excellent society that the "Grawl" - one of the races that I had to unite in order to help me fight an elder dragon - have. THEY choose the gods that they serve, and not the other way around, kinda the way the Green Bay Packers work. Democracy!

And the LP records I played this evening were:

Mr. Bungle - Self-Titled Debut
The Black Watch (Scottish bagpipe & marching band music)
Edvard Grieg - Peer Gynt Suite

Okay, callin' it a night now. <Take care>, guys. And you all have yourselves a great night/day. ;)>
