Monday Afternoon/EveningAnother good but kept short
Soulstone Survivors stream, only streaming for just a couple hours. And
Keitaro87 came by on the ass end of it, so that made it even better.
But for the session, I just did a few "Max curse" runs, something I've never done before. In a normal - ie. a non-Titan Hunt - mode, you can customize your difficulty settings, giving yourself debuffs and/or your enemies various buffs. Each difficulty level - aka "Curse level", of which there are 7 - requires a minimum of these. You can literally turn on
ALL of them, but there's a cap on the extra rewards you can get. Meaning, you
ONLY want to have the minimum buffs/debuffs turned on for the maximum rewards. Any additional ones are a waste. Well, I figured that, since Titan Hunt require me to set aside
AT LEAST 30 minutes for a full run, I just went ahead and did a few short Max Curse ones instead. As anticipated, they're kinda cruddy. Great for a challenge, but you definitely don't get out of it what you put into it. It would've been better off just doing Titan Hunt runs, as the rewards
DO fully scale with difficulty.
Anyway, as my hands were pretty much buzzing at the two hour mark, I went ahead and called it off. A good stream, for the short amount of time I was on.
TuesdayA really good
Pinball Arcade stream this morning, especially when
skullface33101 and
DivisibleError coming by.
A TON of convo going on this time, especially with Skull. Seems Skull is living out of a hotel now (I've done this back in the early 1990s. Been there, Bud!). And he's got his mom and girlfriend in tow as well. Oh, aaaaaaand he's unemployed. So, we've just been talking back and forth about that. All the while, I've
SURPRISINGLY been doing some pretty good Pinball, breaking the Top 5 high scores on the WHO*DUNNIT table, as well as getting close to it on a few others as well. I figured I'd be too distracted to focus, but nope. Not this time!
Anyway, like yesterday, I had to cut it off after a couple of hours in order to give my hands some rest. It seems to help a little, so far......
And yeah, I'm still watching the
Dante's Inferno game movie, getting as far as the Circle of Heresy. Some incredible voice acting, some of the best I've ever heard.
Oh, and inspired by watching this game, I also started rewatching
Satan's Guide to the Bible, a show I watched most of, some-odd years ago. I like how they didn't portray Satan as the usual Diablo-esque GWAR band member though. Or as in the case of Dante's Inferno, a big black dick-swinging demon who wants to get out of Hell and overthrow god. And plus, they give Jesus's point of view as well, a bit of cross-examination I guess. So, it's not just a one-sided affair. But anyway, I watched what I could before I had to lay down.
And for the SS stream it was another good one. I did a few mat farming runs while
Keitaro87 and I chatted it up. And towards the end of my stream
DivisibleError popped in, a rare occurrence (I've only seen him in my morning Pinball streams). He claimed he's never seen this game before, so I gave him the dime tour of it. He seemed to like it! So, hopefully he gives this game a play (I forgot to mention to him that there's a free demo. Grrrrrr). Otherwise, it was another early one, as my hands were stiff & fizzy by the time I was done showing Error around.
WednesdayA fairly good Pinball stream this morning, although it was mostly dead, with it just being
skullface33101 dropping by for a while. I did not-too-badly, breaking the Top 5 high scores on the F-14 Tomcat table, and otherwise holding my own reasonably well on all the others. But as I was starting to play like shit towards the end I definitely called it (it was around my 2 hour cutoff as well). And I just kept on watching more Dante's Inferno & Satan's Guide to the Bible to round out the weekend. A good one overall.
