Baldesion Arsenal

Public
As some of you already know, I'm not a social person. I do prefer to play "on my own". In that idea FFXIV is well designed, you can use the Duty Finder to do any "casual" type of content and you just have to be polite saying Hello and Good Bye.
Even doing extreme content, using the Party Finder, you don't have to talk much but to speak about mechanics. And as I'm not much interested with savage content I do not feel the need to join a fixed group of players. I have a very small FC I manage when the leader is absent, we enjoy being together in the game for the real end game: glamour and housing! :)

That said I didn't start the subject of this post yet! As the title predict I will speak about the Baldesion Arsenal. For this you cannot use Duty Finder and you have no chance to create 7 teams in the Party Finder on your own not even speaking to fill them all. When the content was released, me being stuck in Pagos, I had no hope to once try this special content.

Like I said in my last post about Eureka, I found an active community still doing Eureka and the Baldesion Arsenal: Eurekan Academy only on Light datacenter. Most of the members of this community I kind and helpful. And I joined a first newbie run in BA the 4th of January and I see Ozma (less than 60%) before the wipe. It was a great experience. During the following week I join a Fragment run (you stop BA just before Absolute Virtue), it is good for Fragments as well as for Cristals (as we did the support fate when going out of BA).

I used those Fragment, and some Gils, to stuff myself with Eureka gears to have better elemental stats. I did realize the effect of the gear on the scorpions in Pyros, killing them a way faster than before (I remember them as they are wind element and you do a lot of miss on them).

And yesterday they organize a clear run I joined. And we cleared! The run was amazing, so smooth. I was so concentrated on Ozma fight to not fail a mechanic I didn't even look at the Ozma health bar. My greatest fear was to fail a mechanic that had wiped the group.

A big THANK YOU to the whole Eurekan Academy!
Thank you for your support, thank you for the explanation, thank you for being a great community.

The same day I also finished my third relic weapon! DRK-AST-SMN, my three preferred job in the game. The next should be the RDM as it is the job I play in Eureka.

For the end, some screenshots:

And yeah, the Ozma mount!

Wow hon, congrats. ;p

You saw Ozma on a newbie run? That must have been an incredibly efficient run for that to happen. Then again, by now, it's probably very easy for those still organizing runs. I'm honestly surprised people still get enough people to keep going in. I guess it's all the soloers now catching up ;p

But hey, you survived, you got it, now you NEVER have to group with ALL those people again dear. ;-)

Thank you Annabel,

In fact I will group with people from this community, at least to help filling runs when needed. The Sunday clear run was added because Saturday was full and there was still many people signing up for participation.
All runs are with voice chat enabled and the mechanics are called. It helps a lot, you still have to know what to do and to look if the mechanic concerns you (like the acceleration bomb in Ozma).

It was an intense and fun moment.

Congrats Yoru!

I gotta admit I was shocked, this doesn't sound like the content that interests you a lot normally.

But it's also fun to step out of our comfort zones from time to time, haha.
