I wish I could do more difficult content but I am a chicken baby :c
Lol! Please don't call yourself a loser. Every swan was once an ugly duckling, haha.
I understand your hesitation, and I once felt this way too. The first time I did high-end content (Seiryu Extreme), I was so tense I could not press my skills on cooldown like I was supposed to. But I was able to push on through my apprehension, and went on to clear.
I encourage you to try out difficult content, and in the worst case, you will just find out that it is not suited for you.
I do think that two qualities are necessary to enjoy difficult content. Firstly, you must be mindful of your performance and willing to improve it. I think someone who utters the words "I do not want to learn" is not suited for high-end content, because here everyone must play their role; the party needs you. Secondly, you must have high tolerance for mistakes by both yourself and others. These are challenging battles, and you will fail a lot in the process of learning them.
Those who are discouraged by failure or who rage easily at the mistakes of others, probably will not succeed...
But you do not fulfil these conditions, it doesn't mean you are a bad person. It is all about doing content that suits you. For example, someone who is easily tilted by losing should not play pvp games, since most such games have matchmaking to ensure that you statistically lose half the time.
I don't think high-end content is for everyone, and that is fine. This game does a good job providing content for all kinds of players. You can still enjoy the casual content, and that is not to mention other things like crafting and pvp, as well as player-run activities such as RP.
However, for those who seek a challenge, who want a place where teamwork and cooperation are rewarded, welcome to high-end content.
I recommend you gear up as best as possible (level 450 is good for the current savage and extremes), read some guides on your job and the fight, and jump into a learning party. The rest is a lot of practice. Good luck!
You're too sweet ;w; <3 Thanks for rooting me on!
I'm still the same way with the tougher content. Some trials I get thrown into I basically place a bet on myself how many times I'll die (Titania/Shinryu). I hate going in as a healer since I get really bad anxiety letting the entire team die but it happens.
It helps too to just let everyone know when you go in that you aren't familiar or that you don't know the dungeon yet. You might get a group willing to walk you through it
You're not a loser! I don't want to do the harder content either! To me, it ruins the fun of preparing for people to yell at me for the simple mistakes!
If you want to team up and us conquer this hesitation together, hit me up! I'll be your pocket healer, or pocket tank. Whatever you prefer!
I felt that way when handling tanking/healing in higher-level content. But you aren't a loser for sure, once you get that anxiety out the way, maybe running it with friends would help a ton with controlling the environment! Make it a memorable fun experience so later down the line others won't feel so scary.
In the immortal words of Jake the dog: "Sucking at something is the first step to becoming sorta good at something."
I was soooooo bad at this game when I first started, you can't even imagine. I had never played a game like this before. I kept running into walls. I died during my first fight against a lvl 1 squirrel outside Griddy. And yet eventually I joined a static raid group. All I needed was time and supportive teammates.
I hope you'll have fun no matter what you decide to do!
You know what? I am awful at this game. So godsdamned awful that, in fact...I am five max leveled jobs away from getting my Amaro. You don't need detractors to question your play style, just do your thing and adventure on.
