What Happens at 50?
Once you reach level 50 you gain access to:
Castrum Meridianum - 100 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy
The Praetorium - 100 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy
The Wanderers Palace -
Amdapor Keep - 80 Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy and 40 Allagan Tombstone of Mythology
What you want to do at level 50 is unlock and begin running the level 50 dungeons, especially Amdapor Keep. While Castrum and Praetorium are faster Tombstone of Philosophy farms, Amdapor Keep armour is slightly better than your Artifact gear and while collecting it you are also farming Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy and Mythology.
Allagan Tomestones of Philosophy (ATP) tokens can be exchanged for Darklight gear and Allagan Tomestones of Mythology (ATM) for Artifact+1 from NPCs in Revenant's Toll - Mor Dhona.
After Darklight
Once you have your Darklight gear (or even while still working towards a full set) you can start on your Relic weapon quest. This requires you to have completed all of the main story line and done of all the class/job quests for the specific weapon you are after.

the allagan and the relic+1 gears seem to have pretty much the same exact stats except for the 1 or so stat that seems interchangable between AF+1 and Alla depending on the situation.

@Ereintiel I havn't seen them available from NPCS but I did get a sword "Darklight Macuahuitl" from Wanderer's place final boss chest. It's only a green item.(Item lvl 55 btw)

Thanks a lot! Just to help you complete this post: darklight weapons actually drop from last coffer at Wanderer's Palace. That dungeon also gives you 50 Tomestones of Philosophy upon completion

This is wrong, Titan is harder than Garuda.

Very good guy for people that just hit 50 but in a few more weeks farming AK for Darklight gear will be pointless once the market settles. Crafting gear + materia is better than Darklight gear.
I disagree with the GC weapon being listed 1. Crafted should probably be first, then primal, and honestly skipping GC. In order to get the GC weapon, you need to complete AK. Most AK groups demand you have your primal weapon in order to even go, and most PUGs dont get past demon wall. It creates this vicious circle that makes you end up skipping the GC weapon.
I got the lvl46 GC weapon and went straight to Ifrit for primal.
This isn't accurate as far as the last two tiers are concerned. Artifact gear and allagan have the same stat budget. It however comes down to which is better for said class. For bards the mix is roughly half and half. The chest, gloves, wrist, waist, and necklace are better along with the +1 Artemis bow outweighing the allagan counterpart as the usefulness of skill speed isn't enough to outweigh accuracy.

This is inaccurate this guide does not include the 2 star crafted gear, it is better than draklight for armor, and 2 star weapons are better than both ifrit and garuda weapons.

Guys I'm Lvl 50 but I haven't beat Stone vigil dungeon and don't know if I can do anything else like relic quests etc. what are my Options? What can I do my weapons and armor drink besides Drachen armor. Tried stone vigil at 41 and 44 could I beat it now with better armor? Really wanna do something else to get better weapons. Please help..

Im confused with Darklight gear, why are the stats like crit chance and skill speed so low for a Dragoon. I have higher stats on crit chance with and skill speed by doing a combination of AK armor and Darklight. It seems to me that Darklight armor is just good for mitigating damage

I'd recommend finding a FC to get you through Ifrit to grab a weap first especially for DPS. Also not to worry about relic until having a full set of DL. Good luck on the grind!

What does Wanderers Palace award Tome wise??
@ Tempis, there are 2 DL shields that drop from WP. One is a mage based and the other is PLD/GLD based it was probably the mage shield that wouldn't let you need as it's stats are more INT/MND over STR/VIT. Did a run the other night and the PLD had same complaint even though it shows GLD/PLD are able to use but sets for Mage to get priority do to stats and only allowed him to greed roll.

Just a few thing I saw wrong. 1st The item lvl 70 crafted weapon is stronger than the primal weapons because you can stat them with materia. 2nd I you don't really need the darklight to run primals (while yes it helps) the worded "need" is not correct. 3rd The Allagan set is not necaserly better than artifact +1 armor, for instance while it might look stupid when i finish my set for the best possible out come of damage take a mix of Allagan and Artifact+1.
