I don't know what it was he saw in me that day. Why he chose me above all to be his assistant. But I followed him, to the end of the world, and then he sent me away. With an item that was beyond my understanding.

"Master Louisoix!"

I yelled as I quickly ran beside him. The old elezen had tripped from one of the quakes as Dalamud continued to descend upon the world. Growing closer and closer by the moment, as we tried to rush to the Carteneau Flats. Kneeling beside him, I helped him back to his feet as he patted my shoulder.

"Good girl."

I smiled a bit as he tapped his staff against the ground and braced for another quake, he glared at me as he noticed my hands empty.

"Where is the box!?"

"It is right behind us master! I dropped it to help you-"

"Don't be a fool. Grab it quickly, we haven't much time left."

"Of course sire."

I backed up and quickly turned around, bending over to grasp the rather heavy box. Pulling it into my grasp under my arms. Turning around, I noticed Master Louisoix had already begun to move faster. Following in tow, I kept up as well as I could. The night sky quickly opened up as flames began to fall from the lesser moon.

It's arrive had finally come to pass. With it, the beginning of a calamity. From afar we both stopped and listened as the battle between the Eorzean Alliance and Garlean Empire began. All of the seventh hell seemed to be coming upon us at once. My linkpearl began to ring and on the other side Thancred spoke in a bit of panic.

“We have heavy incoming in the Steps of Nald!”

Ul’dah had been sacked for several days by voidsent. Several areas through out Dalamuds fall reported their aetheryte crystals turning red and summoning more voidsent. Now as the lesser moon shined over the land, all aetheryte became red and more voidsent appeared everywhere. Though Urianger was with him, I feared we no one would be making it out of this battle in one piece.

*ROAAARRRRR*

I heard a loud roar from near by. Louisoix stopped and looked around the shroud shocked.

“This is where I leave you Senna, my dear assistant.”

My eyes widened at his word and I knew what he meant. Lowering my head, I glanced at the box and sighed, dropping it as I felt a tear flow from my eye.

“I will fight them to my last breath Master.”

He could here the faint sound of horror in my voice. As he walked up to me, he placed his hand upon my head as he had so many years ago, messing my yellow hair up a bit. I looked up at him with my golden eyes and looked away, grasping my blade before turning my back to him in shame.

“Open the box Senna.”

He kicked the box closer to me. I knelt down and clicked it open to see a mere blade sitting within it.

“Pick the weapon up.”

I nodded and touched my hand to the handle. My eyes widened as it reduced to strands of yellow and began to wrap around my arm.

“Wh-What is this?!”

“Just as I suspected, the blade was always meant for you. It is empowered with strong light aether..... just as you have been.”

I widened my eyes as I looked up at him.

“I’m not-“

“You have always been quite blessed from the twelve. It is why I needed you here. Fate has brought us together and now fate shall lead you to a new path.”

He turned away, ready to leave me behind as planned.

“Watch over those grand children of mine will you?” Alisaie.... she is quite a handful.”

Rushing away from me before I could speak upon his words, I merely sighed and stood ready as several voidsent began to appear from behind the tree line. Holding my arm out, the blade summoned as if it always wanted too. Making my eyes glow with the golden light they possessed. The power of such was incredible and at the same time very draining. ‘Twas likely this would be the only time I could use it before wearing me down.

“Then I should do my best!”

Snapping the blade, the weapon extended as if a whip. Quickly I swiped it and decimated countless voidsent in a single motion. More continued to pour from the shroud and I swiped again and again. My seventh slash would be my last as my aether was spent. It did not seem to make a dent in them as I fell to my knee and the blade desummoned.

My eyes stopped glowing and fell to my knee. Watching on as they marched towards me, ready to tear me apart with ease. My ears twitched when I heard a loud cracking from behind. Turning my head toward Dalamud, I noticed blue cracks forming across the surface as the allag seals released and thrusted across the land. As Dalamud opened, it revealed the once slumbering primal dragon within roaring loudly.

So big, he could be seen from where I knelt. I turned my head and noticed the voidsent had not only halted their advance, but out of fear began to run away. The sky lit up in orange and I quickly turned my head to see a wild flare heading right for me. Quickly I turned and held up my hands, creating a barrier around me just in time as the flare hit and exploded. The blast was powerful enough to knock me down and feel my body nearly break from the pressure.

I lay still upon the ground, in agonizing pain as the dust from the fight began to engulf the area. Over head the sky began to darken from flame and light up from the spears of the twelve. They stood tall across the land as Louisoix summoned them forth, quickly thrusting themselves around Bahamut and trying to seal him before he could cause more damage. The runes began to form and all seemed to be going well. A burst of power however shattered the spell in a heart beat and Bahamut began his MegaFlare, aiming it towards my area. This, I knew I would not survive.

“Heh....”

A tear fell from my eye as I realized my hopes had been risen only to be shattered again.

“I guess this is it....”

I sighed, holding onto my side as I pushed myself to stand and face the impending doom. Blood covered my limbs as I watched the flare begin to form. As I closed my eyes, a symbol of Althyk appeared around me and quickly consumed me, casting me away in time.

Static flowed around me until the spell finally faded and I fell back to my knees.
The tone of my surroundings changed drastically within seconds. I could hear the peaceful sound of the forest as water flowed and the breeze picked up. My eyes opened to see everything was slightly different. Where forest once was, now lay solid crystal which towered high into the sky.

As I attempted to stand, I remembered I was drained and injured. Though I might heal over time, the drain of aether was likely taking much from me. The aetheryte may not be working but I knew I could at least try to warp to my home. As I attempted to, I fell over and passed out.

Smoking his pipe weed, the lalafell hermit Denz strolled effortlessly through his part of the forest searching for the familiar feeling he had felt when the other warriors of light returned. His eyes widened behind his shades when he found the spot. Unfortunately the said person was now missing. Floating down to the aether flow, he landed and placed his hand upon the ground, looking upon the blood left behind.
Wincing his eyes a bit as he smelled the very potent like aether flowing within it.

“Hmmm.... I’ve not seen something of that aether since amdapor in its prime. Standing up, Denz looked up to the crystallized flare left behind within what use to be the Flats. Shaking his head he took another puff from his pipe and blew the smoke out.

“Louisoix, I wonder.....”
