Heya loves!
It’s been a bit quiet lately so I thought I would fill the gap with something to read.
I left the state a few weeks ago and took a vacation to my home state of Illinois. Let’s just say I did not really have a good time but I was happy to go and even happier to get home.
I feel like need a vacation after that vacation yus yus...
I feel bad because I have not written anything in a little while. I was on the verge of finishing one chapter but still need to get back too it!
After staying away for a week, I have decided to go back and play the msq + or maybe play a new character for a bit to re experience the games story.
I was streaming, however I don’t think I like it enough to continue so, idk, if anyone reading this thinks it would be interesting, please let me know in comments xD
So in game I have been doing some traveling around old ARR areas. It seems almost crazy to think but, with flight on its way to these old areas they have Really given each area a solid face lift.
I hope the developer whom worked on all that gets some praise! Do yourselves a favor and take a look around next time you log on :3
Some may be against the flight for arr areas. I too have my disapproval but still like the thought. And with them upgrading the old areas it leaves me to believe these old areas may have a part to play again in coming expansions.
Speaking of expansions, it’s a hard thought to keep in mind we are on this current expansion yus yus.
To be honest, under yoshi ps watch, their are likely only Two expansions left in the ten year he promised us.
Not only that, however, I doubt the game will completely stop afterwards. It is however exciting to think what the next mmo from them could be. And if Yoshi P will be part of it.
What I do know is this is now the longest mmo I have played currently, without being unsubscribed. I have been subscribed since arr beta ended xD
When this game finally does finish, their is a beautiful thing to know about it for future games.
Such as mmos are not dead, people don’t like to play 100% of the time, how to manage playing the game while doing other things, even other games.
A few months back FF7 Remake released and it got me thinking how much I wanted to make more things inspired by other games and given the XIV feel. Finally I took the plunge and reconfigured the top part of my house to appear as the Seventh Heaven Bar from FF7/R.
Obviously the outside does not. But I wanted to keep my little piece of forest look outside. I love the idea of hanging out there yus yus.
I know it does not look particularly impressive by a mere glance. However, I did study the seventh heaven bar in both games while I was putting it together. Some details were very hard to hit. So where I could, I merely added some XIV stuffs for the fun of it.
The Gil game actually works, and the idea was to pick a game Barret would have used in the bar to show off to his daughter. It may seem a bit crowded as well. none the less, I think it turned out well.
August 11th has been currently announced for the next patch of XIV, 5.3. Yoshi P apologized on behalf of the entire team for the two month push back on the patch. Stating however, a lot of testing was and still is required for the big content coming in the patch. From the next Nier Automata raid to the encounters of the relic quest and the new zone of which we will be going too.
Along side the pandemic issues in the world currently, most of the dev team is working from home, aside from the test group which required them to meet together in a very big area to stay away from each other.
I appreciate the fact that they apologized for the delay. However, I feel perhaps they should have been attempting to bring more to the players to keep them busy for the future.
Anywho! That will wrap up my update for now. Working on some stories and such but it's hard to keep interest as I try to do things to keep me busy.
I built a shelf last week for more of my funko pops. Yesterday, I brought out the old N64 and started to clean it a little bit. Played the games for a few min and put it back into storage. Need to get the proper tools to take apart and clean completely.
Also brought out the old PS3 and found out it can play ps1 games..... no one told me this... lesigh.... we've had it for years ><...
I also yesterday, took apart one of my nintendo switch joycons with some tools i purchased and replaced the joystick to fix the joycon drift. The amiibo reader still works too!
