Being sick during the covid outbreak
A couple of days ago I woke up dizzy. It was vertigo. This usually happens once or twice a year for me and during high allergy season. The only way to combat vertigo is to take Dramamine and sleep it off. Well it didn't work. I was vomiting for two days on and off.
8 hours ago my son called 911 because I passed out. I woke to my son talking to the EMT at the door. They were asking him a lot of questions related to covid 19. I crawled to the door and told them it was vertigo.. I don't have a fever. They wanted me to come outside so they could take a look at me. Of course I said no. While on the floor viciously vomiting in the bag, they finally came inside.
They told me they cannot take me to the ER but they can give me IV and meds to stop the vomiting. They said normally they would but only extreme cases are allowed like gunshot wounds.
They stayed with me for an hour or so. My vomiting finally stopped and the spinning world. I truly appreciate them and my son for saving me ❤️
Vertigo can indeed be a pain to handle and I'm glad you got the medical assistance you needed!
Do take care over there! :)
As someone who has suffered from this in the past, you have my sympathies. My attacks lasted for only about 10 minutes, I can't imagine the pain dealing with it for hours, not being able to move without getting violently ill.
Luckily, it is not a common occurrence for you.
Glad someone was able to help you!
Be well and stay safe.
Holy crap! Sorry to hear you had such a terrible experience. I hope you feel better soon Aala! Stay healthy out there!
Thank you all for the kind words.
Holy crap! Is right sig. I'm hoping to see a proper doctor today.
Glad to hear that you are ok that sounds very extreme and concerning.
I'm so sorry you have to experience this Aala : (
I hope you are feeling better, and I agree with what Omi said, I'm so happy you had someone there to help you through this terrible experience.
