I was meditating under scripture this morning. As I do every morning. It spoke about the power of God and blessings for people who have faith. That no weapon forged against us shall prosper. That the attacks of the enemy will fail because of the connection with God. This reminded me of a situation I once had. It's a testimony of God's protection and the power of the holy spirit.
I once took a roadtrip from Tampa to Miami with a friend. This was before cellphones existed. He needed to use a pay phone so we pulled over in the middle of nowhere at a gas station at night. He went to use the payphone as I smoked a cigarette. Then out of nowhere a bottle comes crashing down at our feet. We turn to look to see where the bottle came from. It was 3 individuals exiting the store. The shirtless muscular one was yelling at us with words of rage. Me and my friend looked at each other with the face of wtf?? As he approaches us it was apparent that he wanted to fight us for unknown reasons. Now this dude was twice my size and there was 3 of them. I stopped and analyzed the situation trying to figure out a way to handle this confrontation. I was aware that things could have ended badly. All of a sudden something came over me. It was like..here let me speak for you. I grabbed the cross around my neck and without hesitation I started to preach sternly. The 3 individuals stopped and listened. Honestly by the time I finished talking the big guy filled with rage was now crying in tears apologizing. This is the power and protection of God. I did not lean on my own understanding but blindly allowed the holy spirit to guide my mind and words. Trust in God and the pathway will be cleared. There is nothing God can't do if you have faith in God.
