The Lefuri:
The Lefuri are social and kind, one of the smaller races inhabiting Eorzea. They see respect for their elders, and stick to tradition. They are said to frequently bow to show their respect for those yet smaller than them. When a Lefuri turns nine years old, they are sent out of their village on a journey to find who they want to be. Most Lefuri have succeeded on their quests for greatness, becoming merchants or crafters, but some have turned to the Dark Arts and eventually became Ascians. Those Lefuri are referred to as “Traitors” by their people and are never permitted to return to the Village where they grew up, even if they have apologized and had a change of heart. Lefuri range from 1” to 2”, being the smallest Race in Eorzea. The children range from 6’ to 8’, being about the size of an average Minion. They make their homes in Farremm, distancing themselves from Hyur and Elezen. the Lefuri has two clans:
The Chasers, and The Dreamers. The Chasers clan of the Lefuri mostly make their homes at the foot of mountains, having access to the bounty of the volcanoes they live under, but if those volcanoes were to erupt, they would call out with their loud and beautiful voices, and the rest of the Lefuri living nearby would come with buckets of water to put out the volcanoes, these days, The Chasers have turned to better methods, as their voices and The Dreamers’ arms alike were getting tired. They now would dig a pit around their village, protecting them from lava and intruders, they now have bridges, not unlike the ones at castles, to let friends in.
The Dreamers make their homes next to the Ocean, being fishers and culinarians. They often collect buckets of water from the Ocean, and each month, they bring ten buckets to The Chasers, who don’t have access to the water without having to walk a long way to the Ocean.
The main difference of the clans is their skin, with The Dreamers being more pale, and The Chasers having slightly darker skin for spending more time in the sun. The two clans are close friends, and will always help each other out if they need a hand, even the children are raised to be natural friends and leaders. Both clans prefer to keep their distance from the Hyur and Elezen, though no one has ever known why. The Dreamers are close friends with Roegadyn and Miqo’te, them being more common to take up trade near the Ocean, and The Chasers making friendships with the Lalafell and Viera. Both clans will be furious if somebody insults their tradition, maybe even exiling or banning that person, but whoever opens up to them as a changed soul (excluding their own Race), they will welcome with open arms.
