Dearest Journal,

I've only a few pages betwixt your bindings left and shall have to purchase another journal anon. Will it still be the same You even if the leather covers are different? The parchment fresh uncrushed by the weight of my hand and dreams? The sinew and animal glue shall be different than your beloved and cracked adhesive, but pray - I shall never forget thee.

Mayhap consider the new journal to act as an extension of thee - as an arm or a leg would. You're pages may fill the new pages shall also carry my hopes and dreams. And a whole collection of Journals will fill my shelves.

Well, not the shelves. The fish tanks. And the planters. And the floor boards.
