So the collaboration event "A Nocturne for Heroes" is finally here and Eorzea has been taken by storm by the Regalia mount. Although many people complain about the car ruining what's left of their immersion (really? when we already have Cloud's bike and flying behemoths and elephants?), I think it's a really neat addition to the game as far as mounts go. Not only is it a 4-seater (oh, I can just picture what's happening in Eureka right about now), but it's free for all players level 50 and above (well, okay, you still have to pay 200k MGP for it, so I guess it's not completely free...). Even the lore has been bent to make it work, the description saying that it was replicated by Cid after he'd fixed the original, which just shows that whatever Square Enix wants to do, they can and will do :) As for the event questline itself, I have to admit I feel like it was a lot more engaging and interesting than the Lightning Returns event back in the day. But maybe that's because FFXV is still fresh in my mind compared to FFXIII? Anyway, I really liked the cutscenes, especially the obligatory camping scene. Taking a photo with Noctis was also cool, but I would've loved to actually get a copy of that picture to hang on the wall in my house or something, or at least be able to take a screenshot of it. And, of course, Noctis's clothes are also very nice - for the time being, I decided to swap my usual look to the Lucis Prince's set, dyeing the chest red as a reference to Lyse's coat I'd been wearing for so long. And that's about it off the top of my head. Enjoyed the event, still need to do it on alts, it was a nice attraction as we wait for the release of Shadowbringers. It's been a long time since I last posted anything on the blog, but now that I'm back for good, I'm thinking about changing that. So here's to an old-new start! And to those who haven't yet got around to doing the event - do it, it's fun :) Till next time!
