As a buyer, I love it when someone undercuts an item by 50%. As a seller I wanna pull my hair out when someone undercuts a item originally 350k by 200k. Especially when they flood the market at that price, price gating the market at that price.
Serious question, why?. You're going to make less money. All I can think about is one would do this in hopes it would sell faster. But why undercut by a massive amount?

Are you looking at previous selling prices and how often the item sells? He may have bulk and is looking to clearance out his stock before the market shifts. If you have faith in your selling price, buy him out and sell for your markup.
My favorite is when someone mistypes an Xmil item for X00k.
Because we have different value of "cost" and different objectives.
The amount of gil is not a feature? of crafting for me.
