Our Story

Moonlit Machina began as a small Free Company created by a group of U.S. Army Soldiers in the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard). As time passed and the Free Company evolved, so did its mission: create the kind of Free Company players wish they found when they first started FFXIV. Moonlit Machina was rebuilt with the vision of providing the same benefits as other prominent and established Free Companies, but without the mandatory contributions, participation, or corporate feel they tend to come with.


Our Purpose

Our purpose is to give back to the FFXIV community through an informal environment where everyone can enjoy the benefits of a Free Company while playing at their own pace. Our core principle is individual autonomy, where every member is free to participate as much or as little as they like. Our primary purpose is to be of service to our members, empowering our members to be of service each other. We do not demand your time or gil, but ask that you contribute to fellow Moonlit Machina members directly through your guidance and experience.


Who We're Looking For:

○ Sprouts looking for guidance and a friendly place to learn.

○ Returners catching up after time away.

○ Veteran players who enjoy mentoring others and helping a growing community.

○ Casual players who simply want a relaxed Free Company to chat with and enjoy the game without being wrapped up in politics or weird agendas.

○ Players who want the buffs and benefits of an established Free Company, but may not want to socialize due to anxiety or any other reason.

○ Players who want the opportunity to secure their place in one of Eorzea's biggest up and coming Free Companies from the start.

○ Military, Veterans, and civilians, whether affiliated or not, who want to join one of the most uniquely founded Free Companies on FFXIV.


Our Free Company is open to ALL, regardless of individual beliefs or values. Our only expectation is mutual respect for one another. There are no "big I's", no "little U's", and no rank-based ego trips. For leadership and admin purposes, our Free Company rank structure is loosely based on a typical military chain of command, however, every single member is equal.


Our Philosophy

We understand that work, school, military service, family, vacations, and life in general will always be more important than a game. Because of that, you will never be removed simply for taking a break or being inactive. Moonlit Machina isn't built around activity quotas, mandatory events, or corporate-style management. It's built in the spirit of service. Our ultimate reward is the success and well-being of our fellow members.
