Welcome to The Florette

We're a FC that is focused on bringing roleplay to the greater realm of Mateus and even beyond! We started out as a small project, turned into a small venue, and now into a multi-venue community hub! Come for the roleplay, stay for the community.

IC Summary:
It was during the most vulnerable moment of her life — losing her partner, her parents, her safety. She ran with the money, though it was not clean money, until her feet no longer could run any longer. She stopped at the threshold of the Black Shroud. It did not welcome her, not after what she has done nor what she has been through could be enough to forgive her sins. Alas...they'd still let her stay. She bought a building off of a whim. To this day, she couldn't tell you a concrete answer as to why. She filled part of it with books, to honour her parents; the other half a lounge, to give herself a place of quiet. She did it for herself...at first.

Soon enough, those rooms grew into more than a small solace built for one person. People came to explore, then they stayed, then they tended the same halls she thought were only her duty to protect. It did not take long for it to turn into a guild full of warmth and become made up of all different backgrounds: adventurers, alchemists, scholars, common folk. Most knew her as simply the owner, but they also knew that title of hers was not for show. A place that was as quietly and fiercely protected as the one who built it.

What she did not know: it'll become a safe haven for others too. What she continues to deny: the people have turned her love for the home she built into love for her too. Equal parts affection and equal parts protection, even if they know she does not need it. She still can't enjoy the haven she built from nothing, but her undying care and love for it is clear. This is her home. Perhaps you’ll find a reason to make it yours too.

OOC Summary:
What started from a simple venue library into more! The Florette is a community that consists of two venues: the Athenaeum & Solarium, all under the same roof! Come for a night at one of them, come for some giggles in voice or out and about in Eorzea, or simply come because you needed a listening ear — we will gladly accept any route you take. Should you wish to be a part of our home, a seat is already there for you. We're looking for people who are active in the game, looking for people to equally be gremlins with, and has a knack for roleplay! Don't worry if you don't, we will work on your pace. What We Look For:
- Creative & passionate writers who do not mind a more slice-of-life approach to story-telling. Your character can be of any background so long as it reminds kind.
- Content-seekers. We enjoy being able to do the content that FFXIV offers, even those in the higher-end. A static, or maybe even two, will be present alongside other more mid-core activities available to the general public.
- Crafters & gatherers seeking employment. We have many who wish to make money and to give something back in return! Should you want to share your services, we have a place for you!
- People who are able to be kind, crack a joke or two, and overall be themselves! Be yourself. That is our only rule, aside from others out of courtesy, that we stress the most. The house will thank you if you can do that alone.
