Announcing FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward Early Access Details!

What is Early Access?
Early access will allow you to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward before its official release on June 23, 2015.
Early Access Start Date & Time
From Friday, June 19, 2015 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT)
*There will be maintenance before early access starts.
This maintenance will update the data for the expansion, A Realm Reborn content, and implement other fixes.
Characters that have met the requirements to enter Heavensward areas can enjoy FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward right away.
Characters that have not met these requirements can continue to play FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn content as normal.

Early Access Participation Requirements
You can participate during the early access period by fulfilling the following requirements:
Also, in order to enter the new areas being introduced in Heavensward, you will need to have completed the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn main scenario quest “Before the Dawn” that was implemented in Patch 2.55.
Must possess an active FINAL FANTASY XIV service account on your Square Enix Account.
Must possess a pre-order bonus code for the platform that you currently use to play the game.

Must have registered your Early Access Code via the steps below in “◆Early Access Registration”.
Early access is not available for the FINAL FANTASY XIV Online all-in-one bundle.
Also, in order to enter the new areas being introduced in Heavensward, you will need to have completed the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn main scenario quest “Before the Dawn” that was implemented in Patch 2.55.
Early Access Registration
Windows Version (for users who pre-ordered the physical package or download version)
How to register:
1. Users who received an 18-digit (AAAAAA-123-AAAAAA-123 format) pre-order code will need to redeem this code on the Heavensward pre-order website (http://sqex.to/HiR) to receive your early access code (20-digits). Additional details on this step can be found here.
2. Once you have your 20-digit early access code, log in to the Mog Station (http://sqex.to/Msp) using the Square Enix Account you wish to participate in Early Access with.
3．Select the "Your Account" tab on the top-left corner of the screen.
4．Select the service account you wish to register your code on. If you have multiple service accounts (represented as tabs named FINAL FANTASY XIV 1, 2, etc.), please select the service account you wish to register your code to. If you only possess one service account, proceed to Step 5.
* Please confirm the appropriate service account by verifying that the service account has the character names and Worlds that you want to send the bonus items to.
* Please be careful as your bonuses will not be received on your desired service account if you select the wrong service account.
5. After confirming your service account, select "Enter Pre-order Bonus Code (Early Access Code)."
6. Enter your Early Access Code, then click “Next.”
7. Confirm details, then click “Next.”

How to register:
1. Steam users who have pre-ordered FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward on Steam can find their 20-digit Early Access code by navigating to their game library and selecting “FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.” On the right-hand side of the game page, find the “Links” section and select “CD key.” The 20-digit early access code will be listed there, starting with “RF2A.”
2. Log in to the Mog Station (http://sqex.to/Msp) using the Square Enix Account you wish to participate in early access with.

To confirm early access:
Visit the Mog Station, log in, and select “Your Account.” You’ll see early access referenced in your “Account Type” section.
To confirm pre-order bonus items:
Visit the Mog Station, log in, and select “Your Account.” Select “View additional items” in the “Bonus” section.
PlayStation®3 / PlayStation®4 (for users who pre-ordered the physical package)
How to register:
1. Enter the pre-order code that you received from your retailer or website on the Heavensward pre-order website (http://sqex.to/HiR) to receive your early access code (12-digits XXXX-XXXX-XXXX format). *These are scheduled to be delivered to users before the start of early access.
2. Sign in to the PlayStation™Network with the Sony Entertainment Network Account that you use to play FINAL FANTASY XIV.
3. Select the "PlayStation®Store."
4. Select "Redeem Codes" from the bottom of the left-side option menu.
5. Enter the pre-order bonus code in the field that appears.
6. Confirm that the promotion code matches the product you wish you register and download the Heavensward software.
▼Once Early Access has begun, continue with the following steps upon launching FFXIV.
7. Launch FINAL FANTASY XIV and follow the directions that appear.
8. Depending on your platform you will see "FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward - Pre-Order PlayStation®3" or "FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward - Pre-Order PlayStation®4." Select "Next."
9. You will see the service account onto which you can register the pre-order code. Select "Next" to complete the registration process.

How to Confirm Pre-order Bonuses:

Navigate to the “PlayStation™Network” area of the XMB (XrossMediaBar) and select “Account Management,” then select “Transaction Management.” Choose “Services List” and find “FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.” Selecting it will show Heavensward early access. This will also grant you the in-game bonus items at release.
PlayStation®4
Visit the “Settings” menu of the PS4, then select “PlayStation™Network/Account Management,” then “Account Information.” Scroll down and select “Services List,” and find “FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn.” Selecting it will show Heavensward early access. This will also grant you the in-game bonus items at release.
PlayStation®3 / PlayStation®4 (PSN download version)
Promotion code registration is not necessary. Early access and the bonus items were automatically linked to your Sony Entertainment Network account at the time you pre-ordered the game. Please follow the steps below to register the rights to your Square Enix account once early access has begun.
1. Open FINAL FANTASY XIV and follow the instructions on the screen.
2. Depending on your platform you will see "FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward - Pre-Order PlayStation®3" or "FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward - Pre-Order PlayStation®4." Select "Next."
3. You will see the service account onto which you can register the pre-order code. Select "Next" to complete the registration process.

Mac download version
Since the Mac version is only available in the FINAL FANTASY XIV Online bundle, Mac download version users cannot participate in Early Access.
Pre-order code distribution information
Users who pre-ordered from the Square Enix Online Store
You can find your pre-order codes on the store account page. Visit the Square Enix Online Store, log in and select “My Account” from the top menu. Select “Your Orders” and select “View” under the “Download Page” section. Your 18-digit code will be listed here which you can redeem on the Heavensward pre-order site (http://sqex.to/HiR).
Users who purchased from other retailers

Regarding the Early Access game client
Windows/Steam users
Users who have registered their early access codes and are currently playing FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn will have their game client updated automatically as we near early access and will not need to download a separate client. Users who do not have the FINAL FANTASY XIV: A Realm Reborn client can download it here.

After registering the pre-order promotion code*, you will be prompted to download the client from PlayStation Store. * This is scheduled to be delivered before the start of early access.
PlayStation®3 / PlayStation®4 (PSN download version)
After pre-ordering from PlayStation Store, you will be prompted to enable automatic downloads to have the game pre-loaded on your console starting June 17, 2015. The Heavensward software will be available for pre-load two days before Early Access begins and will automatically download to your PS3/PS4 if automatic downloads are enabled. In-game bonus item distribution information
Items will be distributed to users who have registered their pre-order bonus codes via in-game Mog Letter starting Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 1:00 a.m. (PDT).
End of Early Access
Early access will end on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 12:01 a.m. in the time zone for the registered account’s region. Please register the full registration code/promotion code for FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward before this time to continue playing after the Early Access period.
* Users who pre-ordered the PlayStation®3 / PlayStation®4 download version will already be fully registered from the time they pre-ordered the game, so they will not need to register a separate promotion code.
