So last night I think I had the worst CT run ever. Mind you, it wasn't bad because of horrible players, it was bad because I got stuck in a party full of asshats.
So, I queued up as WHM. I know I'm not the best geared WHM, but I'm certainly not the worst WHM out there. Skill isn't really an issue, I've done just about everything as WHM that I can w/o having a relic. Lag and bad groups have been the primary factors blocking me from beating Titan on WHM. So whatever, that's neither here nor there...
In the first couple rooms, I'm working my butt off to keep the team alive, way more so that normal. The other WHM was geared in i90 but seemed to really be slacking compared to other groups I've been with.
So we get up to KB and somebody said something about drops and I commented that I had really wished the WHM body would finally drop, and one of the DDs said I didn't deserve the WHM body. OK, whatever, I stopped healing him and the other WHM stops healing the MT and the MT of course dies as I take over for his lack of skill, or maybe he wasn't paying attention, idk.
We eventually ended up winning anyway. Guess what, the WHM body dropped! So I need on it assuming that since the other WHM has full i90 gear he didn't need it. Nope he needed on it and got it, then laughed about it in chat. He needed just to spite me. So the next fight I ran directly to Acheron's feet and sat down the entire fight.
Why do people feel the need to enter CT just to be douchebags to other players? Seriously, why?

Happens everywhere. No need to go to CT to see it happen. You never seen a level 50 doing daily roulette need the items in low level dungeon 15-22? I seen it alot... And i don't understand it specially when there are new players doing the run first time and prolly they need it more than a level 50. And yes i know the level 50 maybe needs it on another class but still... the new players will feel the same you described.
I always greed on the low level roulette, even if its an item for my class. I mostly use whatever I win to get seals, since my FATE grinding has dropped off since the dungeon XP update. I completely agree on the NEEDING part, if you are higher level than the dungeon don't need on a trash item for your level... that's just rude.
It's not the just item I was actually mad about. Actually it's not that at all, I've been out-rolled before. It's how they did it. It's that he needed on it just so I wouldn't get it, then he rubbed it in my face.
I would have dropped if I were in that situation, Molly. No item is worth being grouped as the one you experienced last night.
I would suggest running with friends or PF peeps from your server.
I got my payback by almost wiping the alliance with my 'sit-in' during Acheron. Their crappy healer couldn't do the work of both of us. I went to grab a beer, then came back to watch the hilarity ensue. The dude who said I wasn't worthy of the robe had a good case of foot-in-mouth disease come on in a hurry, and the whm who took the robe said that if he could have given me a commendation for my act of civil disobedience, he would have. (They obviously entered as a group)
despite the fact I have level i90 body for my WHM, I did Need the robe for it in CT a few weeks ago. My reason ? my SCH is still in DL and since I dont want to spend Myths on it still, I got the robe and the crown in CT. Any other reason than properly gearing a job is suspicious to me.
I got the WHM body last night, so not a huge issue.
