  • About Free Companies

A community to play together with friends on the same World.

Free companies are player-run organizations which allow their members to pool resources, be it items or gil, to accomplish feats that would be difficult or impossible for a single individual.
The benefits of joining a free company include a dedicated chat channel for all members, the ability to purchase an estate to serve as the group's base of operations, and the use of free company actions that grant bonuses such as increased experience points.
No two free companies share the same goals and motivations, so be sure to choose the free company that's right for you.

  • About Linkshells and Cross-world Linkshells

A dedicated chat channel for players who share a common aim.

Linkshells and cross-world linkshells are chat groups which allow for quick and easy communication between players who are not necessarily in a party or free company. Unlike free companies, players are able to join multiple linkshells, making it possible to join different communities dedicated to various aspects of the game.

Linkshells: allow communication with any players on the same World.
Cross-world Linkshells: allow communication with any players on the same data center.
  • About PvP Teams

A team dedicated to enjoying PvP duties.

Teamwork is key, so be sure to find a team with whom you're confident you can hone your skills together.

PvP duties: allow players to compete against one another in unique instanced arenas.

Looking to do some Field Operations on Dynamis? Here's a fancy Discord server for it:

https://discord.gg/dfo-xiv

If we ran out of fancy links here's old reliable:
https://discord.gg/vjwYEeubeN

Server is completely dedicated and scoped towards one thing only: Field Operations. Eureka, Bozja, and Occult Crescent All roles and channels are structured to that end. There are only a few general channels for off topic discussions or whatever we want to talk about.

All selectable roles are only for notifications, so customizing both your channel list and what should ping you is within your power! Only minimal roles are assigned for functional server purposes. There are attempts to make the discord systems at play mobile friendly, though I can;t say as much for console players outside of VC.

There is technically a CWL (cause i can't make this post without it) but this is more for advertising the server. But if you feel linkshells are desirable, feel free to ask in Discord server about it.

The vision:
To create a hub-like server for folks of Dynamis that wish to get into field op content with others to gather. To meet this hub vision, certain roles have the following expectations on them:

Everyone is a possible host, event posts should be treated like a party finder post in game. To that end, raid-helper is not the only way to make posts to organize groups. We allow folks to post how they want so long as you utilize the discord unix timestamp and clearly state the goals of your group activity.

Moderators will primarily be making sure rules are upheld and topics are spoken of in the relevant channels. They can moderate or delete messages, as well as ban, or kick people who violate the server’s rules. If there is bot experience then they may be asked to help assist in managing or using bots, such as incorrectly set settings for unintended effects. They are considered the first frontline of questions and issues, before admins be brought in. Their opinions and views will still be vital in server wide decision making, even if its technical in nature.

Admins will be more focused on being bot managers and server administration, leaning more on the technical side of things, from advice on server setup, bot usage, and best practices, so that workflows we decide on continue to function as intended, and provide the results we wanted. They may be asked to help with more technical issues that a Moderator is unable to resolve for a common user (example being raid helper settings and how to use it, if no one else is online available to answer).

I, the server owner, do not want to set an expectation or impression that all decision making stops at me and that I have all the answers. I would like input from all server members on where our flows go. To be as publicly available a server as can be, for the Dynamis folks, by the Dynamis folks, and open to other DC servers as well.
