Free companies are player-run organizations which allow their members to pool resources, be it items or gil, to accomplish feats that would be difficult or impossible for a single individual.
The benefits of joining a free company include a dedicated chat channel for all members, the ability to purchase an estate to serve as the group's base of operations, and the use of free company actions that grant bonuses such as increased experience points.
No two free companies share the same goals and motivations, so be sure to choose the free company that's right for you.
Linkshells and cross-world linkshells are chat groups which allow for quick and easy communication between players who are not necessarily in a party or free company. Unlike free companies, players are able to join multiple linkshells, making it possible to join different communities dedicated to various aspects of the game.
Linkshells: allow communication with any players on the same World.Teamwork is key, so be sure to find a team with whom you're confident you can hone your skills together.

I've been playing since 1.0 and been a part of TKN from 2.0 until today. I love assisting folk with crafting/gathering, PVP, and host a raid group in our FC.
Aside from that, I am an avid reader reading about 1 novel a week for most of my life. I previously cohosted a political podcast focusing on Canadian and Western social issues. Also Martha Stewart creeps my Instagram for inspiration I mean seriously I make a carbonara and the next day she is posting carbonara recipes? I'm onto you Martha.

Lots of people are new to the game these days and you wouldn't be the only new one getting through older content. I know we just helped one FC mate start Heavensward last week, and last night I helped another finish Shadowbringers pre-patch MSQ!

No need to apologize, the game makes it annoying to apply/invite lol. We can only invite you when you're online (you were AFK when I sent the invitation last time, so you probably missed it before you logged off; no worries!), and the only way to send an application on your end is to visit our FC house in Shirogane, which you may not have access to if you're not currently in Stormblood or beyond. Let us know what time you usually play and we'll try to coordinate. Sorry for the trouble!

No savage groups atm as it is older content, unfortunately won't be something we likely have until Evercold at this time. Currently we have weekly maps night, weekly mount farming. We are resurrecting blue mage night prior to beastmaster coming out this summer as well :)
