After posting my blog about roleplay on the server, I decided to go ahead and make a Linkshell of my own! Please feel free to search for me in game if you'd be interested in joining. I'm still in the process of piecing together some kind of theme or storyline for the group, so please do bear with me. Otherwise, I feel it's kind of awkward to say to someone "What would you like to RP?" after inviting them into it. xD
Anyway, the name of the LS is called: Tales Of Adventure.
I originally had the thought of using it as a way to develop our characters' background before they had become adventurers. Then, using that information, I thought it would be interesting to have them interact with other characters based on these 'would be' personalities.
As an example, I'll use a tid bit of information about my character.
I'm an Astrologian, so I used that as my starting point.
My character was a child when the Calamity hit, and the Aether within Dalamud spiraled out of control, almost like the effect of radiation to the nearby settlements. It distorted the flow of aether within Crocell and many other villagers themselves and made them experience a long stout of sickness. Funnily enough, however, was that although Crocell was one of the lucky ones to survive, in time he began seeing glimpses of people's pasts and their futures.
Long story short, he wanted to uncover the truth about what happened with the big red moon in the sky since no information was publicly announced, so he became a reporter for the Mythril Eye. He gained a reputation for constantly "being in the right place at the right time", as his abilities allowed him to gain intel that no other could possibly have known, which obviously could've seemed suspicious. So, whilst a great reporter, some were wary to even speak with him.
Of course, everyone is free to do and RP whatever they want if they have ideas. This is just my kind of starting point to help me gather my thoughts. But, does anybody else have any ideas or thoughts of their own to how things could be arranged? Maybe events we could do? Gatherings?
Heeey, I'd be happy to join. Although lately I've been mostly playing on my alt character Étoileaux Charbonnier. He's a RP character as well, so I'll try to remember to search for your name every once in awhile to see if you're online and ask for an invite. :D I have a loooong background story for both in my head, but still need to write the thing down. I also have a webpage for background stories, but it's like 2 years old and I need to clean it up a bit.
