種族ごとの名前の由来を調べてたら、妙に詳しいサイトがあった。

どうもエオルゼアの世界設定に関する本が2冊も出ており、その内容を転記してるみたい。

ff14においては世界設定のことをロア(lore、「学問、知識、伝承」という意味)と読んでるそうだ。
民俗伝承をフォークロアとか呼ぶときのロアだな。

本の名前はEncyclopaedia Eorzea
1冊4500円くらい。高いから、余裕あるとき買う。
