Character Profile

I started out as a Bard DPS main.
Terrified of the idea of tanking and Healing after hearing about being under some heavy pressure from other players in MMORPG's.
However, after joining my current Free Company. I wanted to be more useful to the guild and took on the White Mage Healing role.
Unfortunately, my experience was met with myself, the Noobie healer. Paired up with the FC's craziest Tank in POTD along with 2 random players from queuing.
He pulled everything, from every room, on every floor.
But while others got angry at him for doing so. I got anxious, started sweating and felt like this was somewhat of an initiation to the FC and must not fail it; and while I talked to myself at the computer screen, shouting, NO, NO, NO, OH GOD, Please, COME ON, DON"T DIE!!!
It made me a better healer for it.
I no longer stress over, over the top pulls in Dungeons, Trials, Raids and Fates.
I am a lot calmer and never panic at all.
I still stuff up from time to time like everyone does, But I'm confident in my abilities to recover from all situations thrown at me.
Soon after the FC was pushing me to Tank...Yup, that made my heart stop when they were saying SURPRISE!!! play tank now, because we have a shortage of them.
So once again myself and the FC's crazy Tank paired up again and he was teaching me how to tank...'you can see where this is going right'..."pull more, pull more, PULL MORE!!!".
I died several times, but I suppose I felt less nervous here, as I was running with a full FC party this time.
After getting to lvl61 with my PLD we moved onto the SB Dungeons. To which, was an entirely different ball park.
Sirensong Sea Dungeon, it was the first pull off the boat.
I immediately panicked and died.
I didn't know how to use my cooldowns properly and in the panic, used all of them at once.
Once they ran out, my healer ran out of MP trying to heal me. While at the same time I was dying faster than they could heal.
After that, the crazy Tank educated me on how to Pop my cooldowns correctly and we proceeded through the dungeon (nervously).
After a while I found myself in the higher trials and raids for tanking, wanting gear. I always took the Off Tank role or ran with a friend to calm me down. Since i was still nervous.
I'll never forget running Sasuno EX. Dying multiple times because I freaked out when it came to Tank swapping, the Tank Busters and saving and using 2 CD's.
Later, I was running the Rabanastre Raid. Again nervous, again in off tank stance.
But this time was different.
I knew the mechanics from running as a DPS many times, and this time, no one was stepping up to Main Tank.
By the death of another tank, on another team. I was forced into using "Provoke" and taking on the Main Tank role.
I maintained the MT role throughout the raid, and while I was shaking, nervous and sweating. I did it.
I led, called, directed and got 23 other people through the raid.
I've been confident and Main Tanking ever since.
Ty Crazy FC Tank!
