Unable to Soft Lock Targets

Found out today that you can config your character to use a hard lock only on Ps4 today. Quite by accident I might add.

In the targeting menu there is an option to change the target circle to lock on target. If you select this, you can no longer use the soft targeting option.

I like being able to poke an enemy, then return to my tank while healing. I spent over 4 hours trying to find an answer to this online today, so I thought I might share my solution.
