Character Profile
~Prologue of Saito O'raha~
Saito's story begins as a young miqo'te cub. He lives in a small tribe by the coast on a continent far away from eorzea. Saito's father Kai O'raha a fisherman and an ex-dragoon warrior and his mother Ada O'raha a culinarian and an ex-scholar, both run a small sea-side shack. as a little boy cub Saito would help his father catch fish during the day or sometimes help his mother cook. One morning Saito's parents received a letter that ordered them to take up arms again and fight in the battle of Carteneau to prevent the garland invasion. Saito's father and mother were a deadly force. During the battle bahamut was released, Ada looks at Kai and says "I'm pregnant!""What!" says Kai. In that instant Kai knew with any cost he had to get his wife, unburned baby, and himself back home alive. So they fled from the battlefield and watched bahamut run rampant destroying everything in sight.
5 Years later Saito is now a young miqo'te adult who spend most of his days playing with the tribe's young miqo'te cubs. Ada birth a healthy female miqo'te cub who is now 5 years old. Kai and Ada named her Yuri O'raha. One day three adventures came to the family sea-side shack for some ale and good food. the 3 adventures where a male Roegadyn warrior, a male Elezen Bard, and a female Hyur whitemage. Saito served them their ale and seafood. Saito asked "where do you all come from?" and "what are those weapons?" The male roegadyn says "Come, come my boy and listen to our tales of an adventurer!" The 3 adventurers told tales of their toughest battles, mysterious lands they've walk, and exquisite foods they've eaten. Saito was in awe of the 3 adventurers tales. In that moment Saito knew he wanted to become an adventurer.
The next day Saito beg and pleaded to his parents to become an adventurer. His father Kai said "no"countless times in fear that his son would get badly hurt or worse die somewhere on his travels. Ada manages to convince Kai to let Saito go and make something of him self. One night Kai and Ada sat Saito down and told their tales of being an adventurers. Ada gave Saito one of her grimoire and said "take this weapon, go to limsa lominsa, and look for a guild for arcanists." "Once there I want you to learn the arts of the arcanists, they will teach you how to summon a pet named carbuncle who will aid you in your battles ahead." With a sense of excitement and relief Saito knew he had the blessings of his parents to leave his tribe and become an adventurer.
