Fayolen Hyral was born in the land of Ivalice. She was a distant cousin to Delita and Tietra (Teta) Heiral. Fayolen and Teta were very close when they were young girls. They spent much time together and were inseparable until Teta and Delita were taken in by the Beoulve family after their parents died from the black death. After their departure, Fayolen and Teta rarely saw each other.

After the War of the Lions, the family moved to the Ivalice countryside. Shortly after the move, Fayolen got lost in the deep dungeon. She awoke in the land of Vana'diel in Ronfaure Forest outside the castle fortress town of San d'Oria. She spent many years honing her magic skills and vanquishing foes. It was during this time that Fayolen changed the spelling of her last name, believing the stories of Delita's heroism to be false, to distance herself from the family. She remained in the land of Vana'diel for several years, constantly searching for a way back to her homeland.

She found herself lost once again one day and awoke in Eorzea, deep within the black shroud. She ended up in Gridania during a time of great turmoil. She met friends and became a Conjurer. She then trained to reawaken her powers as a White Mage. She fought in the great battle of Cartaneau where Dalmunde exploded, revealing Bahamut. Just as they were about to be destroyed by the wyrm king's flames of destruction, there was a bright flash of white light followed by nothingness.

She awoke 5 years later, similar to the same fashion she awoke previously. Making her way once again to the forest city of Gridania.

Personality: Fayolen has a very friendly demeanor, but don't take that to mean that she lets anyone walk all over her. She comes across as warm and passionate. A very independent woman who paves her own path. A definite leader, not a follower. She enjoys meeting new people and making friends. Always willing to go out of her way to help a friend in need. Very straight forward and to the point. She doesn't sugar coat. She loves travelling and is always ready for adventure. She is comfortable blazing the trails on her faithful stead Xanthous, or savoring a hot cup of tea within many of the fine inns of Eorzea.
