Koyagg is a 26 year-old Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te originally hailing from the forests surrounding Gyr Albania. He was displaced as a young child into the heart of Paglth'an by the Garlean inavsion of Ala Mhigo, and was raised by the Amalh'aa as one of their own. He earned the title of Chah through his talent with arcane magics and the awakening of his echo. Koyagg was one of the priests behind the summoning of Ifrit just prior to the calamity, and has been searching for a way to undo the damage he caused ever since.

Koyagg is naive to a fault, and wears his heart on his sleeve. He feels his emotions very intensely, and often seems as though he might just burst at the seams. Koyagg can be a bit awkward and doesn't understand social conventions very well, leading him to often leave a bad first impression. Koyagg becomes very attached to the people he sees as friends, even if the friendship is a bit one-sided. He can be a bit cocky, and has earned a few scars from overestimating his abilities.
