My name is Elyssa Cayne. 32 years ago, I was born in Vesper Bay, a small coastal village in Western Thanalan. There, I was raised by my mother Elina and father Cillian Cayne, who died in an Imperial raid on Vesper Bay when I was only seven. It was then, that I swore to my mother we would never be as helpless again. Six years later, at the age of 13, I enlisted to be trained as a Mage in the Grand City of Ul'dah. Eventually, at the age of 21, after eight years of harsh training and countless lessons I became a full-fledged Blackmage, strong enough to protect the people of Eorzea. Since then, not a day went by without honing my skills in a plethora of battles, becoming a Warrior of Light. Crimes against humanity will not go unpunished any longer. I have an oath to uphold.
