Amidst the hulls of docked sea faring vessels within the Lower Docks of the port nation of Limsa Lominsa, among the vagrants and scallywags, was an orphaned Jarnkoldur raised. It was a difficult childhood; a tormenting experience which was only broken by few subtle moments of placidity –which weren’t either kind or heartwarming. Traumatized and chastised by the ne’er-do-wells who surrounded him, feared and disrespected by the common folk who discriminated him for his association to the curs he was raised amongst, and dismissed as even being human by those of more influential status, life was a plagued existence for the ambitious Lalafell. Oh yes, he was ambitious! For ambition was the only gift he had received within his life and his ambition burned with lustful passion giving him the strength to endure and continue on... untill he discovered the voices. Then his ambition faltered as his one great feature. Of course his new gift would burden him with troubles, but at least he was in fact gifted with something special. Only question remaining was could he handle the new found abilities? The voices within his head altered the fate of the desperate Lalafell irrevocably. At first the voices were nothing more than whispers and suggestions, of which he ignored assuming an overwhelming flux of stress in his present life. But as time went on the voices spoke to him with more gusto and urgency, and this drove him near to madness. At first the poor Jarnkoldur drew upon all possible excuses for his "condition", but relief wouldn't entertain him till one evening as he waddled out of the Drownin'Wench he came upon the fairy-queen Eos who upon the back of the primal Carbuncle rode forth to greet Jarnkoldur. The totality of ths story at this point is fuzzy... but in length explaination of his mysterious affliction is provided. He was a unique being, a conduit between the realms of the spirits, primals, and mortals. He was an Evoker! Thus his destiny was rewritten.
Now, with his trusty first mate and oft side kick Taracuus Gyvanhal, the power of the eternal primals in the form of Egi’s whom serve him, his airship the Strumgull (which by jis account sunk in the Galadion Bay), and the Free Company known as the Company of Heroes, Jarnkoldur has a more optimistic outlook in regards to the future and the coming horizon.
