Born in the war-scorched wilds of Ilsabard, Dalagarm is remembered in whispers as "The Lost." His journey began as a lone pilgrimage across the frozen northern border of Aldenard, in search of the fabled Palace of the Dead. But his presence did not go unnoticed. Discovered by a scouting party of Ishgardian Temple Knights, an attempt to subdue him ignited a conflict that escalated beyond imagination. What began as a minor skirmish turned into a brutal confrontation involving over a hundred knights. Eventually, the lone Hrothgar warrior was captured, bloodied but unbroken.

Though confined within the cold stone of Ishgard’s dungeons, Dalagarm’s imprisonment was short-lived. Word of his ferocity and unmatched martial prowess reached the ears of House Dzemael, who delivered him before Archbishop Thordan VII himself. There, Dalagarm was offered purpose — or perhaps a leash — and sworn into the elite order of the Heavens’ Ward. As Thordan’s personal knight and instrument of war, he became both feared and revered.

But there is a deeper shadow beneath his name.

Dalagarm is the mortal vessel of the Ascian Deudalaphon. He is malevolent, merciless, and utterly devoid of empathy. His sanctum is said to be adorned with the corpses of his victims — soldier and civilian alike — twisted trophies of a mind steeped in darkness. He is a war machine cloaked in a knight’s armor.


Only a select few know the truth of Thordan VII’s divine deception. Among them is Aphrodite Haillenarte, the Rose Knight, host to the Ascian Halmarut — and Dalagarm’s silent comrade in truth. Yet despite this knowledge, Dalagarm follows orders without hesitation. Whether out of duty, fear, or the Ascian will that binds him, none can say.

In him, one finds not a man... but a vessel of vengeance. A beautiful nightmare carved into steel and shadow.
