Ok, I seem to have successfully enabled recording of Eorzean script on this device, even though I can't do anything about the hard-coded log headers, which are in Terran Federation Standard Alphabet.
I am Terran Federation Kreuzer-Käpitan Laura Beinbrech, and my starship, the Federation Starship (FSS) Gettysburg have been on an extended long-range mission to map & explore the unknown corners of the Galaxy.
About 6 months ago, we picked up a massive burst of Thaumic energy from a star system about 5 light years from our position. Since Thaumic energy is only generated by living creatures and thus is only found on habitable, living planets, we immediately plotted a hyper jump to the system.
Of course since Thaumic energy only travels at the speed of light, whatever triggered the burst we picked up would have happened about 5 years prior, but I thought it best to investigate anyways to see what we could find. What we found was an amazing, almost mystical planet called Hydaelyn and the focal point of the Thaumic (or Aetherial as the locals call it) energy burst was over a continent called Eorzea. More details about what I've discovered & observed on this world will be recorded in future log entries I make.
