Caught 18 in exactly 30mins in hinterlands. I’m at X21.4 Y24.7 on the island in Thaliak River.
I used the versatile lure only.
Normal cast. But when I caught a sweetfish I used identical cast (lvl 79 ability) and then double hook (lvl 65 ability) as it’s guaranteed to be sweetfish. I would have used triple hook, but forgot to buy hi-cordials so didn’t have enough GP.

I was only casually fishing and easily caught 15. If I had been really trying, I probably could had fished up more. I had two different results in two locations, (the 2nd seemed to work better.

Fishing Log location: Middle Thaliak River: 20.1, 25.1
Fished from approx. 12:30PM ET to 2:00AM ET
Weather: Rain/Fair Skies
Bait: Switched bait to Brute Leech, & used a total of 15 ea. (I was actually trying to fish a different fish).
Skills used: Skills used: Chum, Mooch, Mooch II (I actually caught a bunch off off using Mooch and Mooch II)

My Stats:
Fisher level, 67: Gear lvl 192: Gathering, 767; Perception 679
Did not use a food buff.

They seem to have changed this a bit to make this easier to catch. I caught 5 in about 20 or 30 minutes. I caught my first one 3 casts in.

I had a bit better luck at x20.1 y25.1, still in Dravanian Hinterlands, using brute leech. So don't be afraid to go downriver.

Never More Marilith [Dynamis]

I got a sweetfish in 23 casts with a versatile lure in the same spot that Solaria mentions.
