Having a large amount of alexandrite stored up, I've been casually working on my BLM animus books while helping FC mates and friends with their dungeons. (Tried to plan them so they coincided with zodiac dungeon item quests for maximum efficiency)
It's finally done!
Went straight into a Novus upgrade, so I have more options when running dungeons with people instead of just trying to use my PLD all the time now (for lights).
About the design though, the glows aren't that much different, but I'm really enjoying BLM after having played Melee jobs for so long.
P.S. The masochist in me is contemplating starting animus books for MNK too, lol.
I don't believe in grinding these things, so taking my time has resulted in me always enjoying my time online, doing a varied number of things to keep from getting burned out.

Gratz, I'm right behind you. 9 more pieces of Alexandrite to go. You're not the only one who's crazy either; I only have 3 more books to do on monk weapon as well lol.
I love that you can skip Whole parts of the relic quest. lol

Fran: Yeah the Alex just keeps building up even though I don't spend hunt seals on them like I did for my first novus. Can't let 'em go to waste!
I genuinely enjoy collecting stuff and taking my own sweet time, and FC has a great community almost 24/7 so it's always a chatfest. Great for primarily solo players like myself. :)
I can skip the Alex, Zodiac drops and crafted Zodiac items in my next relic for Whm. lol
All prepped up eh Fran? Nice! I've 600 lights to go on my PLD now that I'm done getting BLM up to Novus, but my PLD's zodiac item set isn't complete yet. Better hope for good drop rate luck :)
That 11.11% sometimes feels higher than it really is, or lower on other days.

These zodiac weapons are strong and powerful; nevertheless, one may have to put in countless time of finding and fighting one way through the game in-order to obtain certain Alexandrite items. Thanks.
Alexandrite is actually a very easy commodity to accrue, considering how many ways there are to attain them. 200 allied seals, 400sol alex maps, alex map daily from Brangwine, as well as the highly increased drop rate post-2.5 from any FATE completed with a Gold rating using an Animus or above weapon.
When I get my Thyrus Novus, we'll have to take a screenshot together to show the stark contrast between that and the Stardust Rod Novus ^_^
