MBE37D0 Therran grew up in the mountainous region outside of Ala Mhigo. Traditionally his family were warriors, fighters, taken to the sword and axe before thought. But Therran was pulled along another path. His inner calling brought him into the realm of magic, much to the disapproval of his family.

After the fall of Ala Mhigo to the Garlean Empire Therran found himself homeless and wandering through the flatlands. It was during this nomadic period that Therran befriended Shiara Adamine and her family. Therran was instantly stricken by Shiara. And just as quickly he discovered that she was as independent as he and that she wanted to roam Aldenard seeking adventure and gil (and photo ops).

Together they took off on a quest to see the world. Therran pledged to Shiara's family that he would stay with her on her adventures and help protect her from harm.

He had no idea what he was getting himself into.
