Zeith pulled C’ashya closer and while staring straight into her eyes he said, “Listen to me! I don’t know how they found us, but you know as well as I do that if we do… If they found us now, they will surely find us again. This has to stop, here and now!” Even in this state, I could feel that Zeith was dead serious. He felt that there was no other way. He had to make a stand so that we could escape. C’ashya tears fell from her face as she embraced her husband… her lover… her soulmate… She kissed him as if she believed that she would never see him again. She held me closely and stood up slowly. Trying to the best of her abilities to keep as silent as she could be, not making the slightest bit of sound. The two of them looked each other in the eyes and without saying a word, Zeith dashed from the bushes towards the fire.
Cries of battle and sounds of clashing swords filled the glowing red sky as tears fell from C’ashya’s eyes onto my face. She started running as fast as she could, away from the campsite. Suddenly we heard a scream, a sound that went through bone and marrow. C’ashya stopped running, immediately turned around. As I peeked through the crack of my blanket, I saw several silhouettes near the fire. There were 3… No, 5 silhouettes standing around a silhouette kneeling on the ground. A silhouette standing front of the kneeling silhouette walked a few steps forward and raised something in the air. Lightning struck down on the kneeling silhouette. The silhouette screamed in agony. C’ashya covered her mouth in fear and pain. As the silhouette fell to the ground, one of the other silhouettes bowed over the one lying on the ground. As if it was talking to it. Afterwards, the silhouette stood back up and the remaining 4 silhouettes picked up the injured silhouette that was lying on the ground. The one in front raised something in the air again. The silhouette started to chant. After it was completed, a bright light enveloped the injured silhouette. We heard another scream that went through bone and marrow as the light grew brighter and brighter. As the light was blinding me, I could hear C’ashya cry out, “Zeith! Noooo~!” Everything turn dark and quiet again.
After a brief moment of complete silence, the sound of rain pouring from the sky slowly faded in. I opened my eyes, and I could see a black sky from which the rain was pouring down. I slightly moved my head around to look around. I was back in Gridania again. When I looked around closer, I noticed that I was at the Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre. My clothes were still soaked, but I wasn’t feeling cold. I could feel that I was being held by someone, trying to warm me up.
