With traceable roots all the way back to early in the Fifth Astral Era, the Blaze family has seen the rise and fall of Eorzea before. Each time forging a new destiny in a land changed forever by the elements. For the Hyur, the Blaze family has always been gifted in the art of magic. Some would even say they rival the greatest Lalafel that have existed in recorded history. Through the years the family has acquired the skills required to rebuild and emerge from the ashes stronger than before.

Johnny's tale started about 40 years ago in late in the Sixth Astral Era. Ever curious was he, always dabbling in things he should not, but becoming all the more wiser for his age. Johnny was no different than the countless generations of Blazes' before him, for he had the gift of magic. During Fifth Astral Era the Blaze family was known for the gift of healing, but after the Sixth Umbral Era and the subsequent banning of White Magic many in the family turned instead to the elements and focused on the arts taught by the Conjurer's Guild.

Having no memory as to the events of the past 5 years Johnny is tossed into a familiar world with unfamiliar faces.
