Well, after 3 days I FINALLY did it, I got that damn Pegasus.
Ok, so I MIGHT have over did it a little during each day, but hey, it DID get me motivated enough to ACTUALLY login to the game! Thanks SE! ;p
So, all in all I did 12 castrum's and 9 Sycrus's, and BOY am I SICK of IT! LOL
BUT, I think I um......MIGHT go for the Peggy minion to go with the horse.
Yeah, yeah, I know, MORE grinding, sigh. But it's only 15 for it and I know what to do to get a lot quick.
As for the grinding, if you have many Blue mages in the party Sycrus is very quick, about 12 min. But then you got to wait for the group to fill back up to 24 after each run, which kind of kills the time if you are doing it one after another. But, if it fills up fast again it is about 30 min for 4.
Castrum is 30 min for 3 and less work since you take pauses to look at cut scenes. It is also easier to get into since you have to rely on PF's for the fast Tower runs and there may not be any when you are on. Castrum usually pops in 5-10 min.
Of course there ARE those blue mage runs in Tam Tara but I have not touched them. I REALLY don't want to have to be constantly on the go, making sure I don't mess up. They say 3- 6 min for 1 but I don't believe the 3 min claim, no way! And the 6 min one would put it faster than the others if they kept going over and over. But it really sounds like too much stressful work to do it.
Oh grinding, how would we EVER stay in a MMO for a long time without you? ;-)

It's a very beautiful mount! It looks a lot more impressive than I imagined, and the sidesaddle pose is actually really nice. It makes the character look so ladylike, haha.
I'm super casual, I don't have the strength to grind any of this stuff. I took one look at the moogle shop and was like, "Nope!" Lol.

No it is normal straddling. It probably just looks like side saddle because of the clipping. The only side saddle I have seen is the unicorn.

Oh, and yes, it IS a beautiful mount. Honestly, it REALLY makes you feel like you are in a fantasy world when you use it, and it looks SO good in flight with the wings flapping.
Only 3 mounts make me feel that way: the Pegasus, the unicorn, and Midgardsomr. The chocobo is ok too since it IS FF lore related.
All the rest seem SO out of place, ESPECIALLY the silly flight animations.
Ok, so MAYBE the mechanical magitek mounts are lore friendly, but feel out of place in a fantasy game.

Actually going as a white mage is kind of fun. Having the tanks round everyone up and nuking them with holy makes me feel damn powerful ;p
Plus killing that bitch Livia never gets old!

Aww, that's a shame! I remember seeing someone with the unicorn mount and its unique sidesaddle pose in pvp, and thinking it was really nice. Though, that awesome description now makes me want it too...
I think the 3 min estimate is overoptimistic too. I saw a Reddit post that gave 4 min for a party of 4 BLU, and I think that is more reasonable. To give you some idea, soloing Tamtara unsync on Siglinde (for relic) took me exactly 4 min as well at level 70.
Yes I am a casual noob! The way I see it, there are two kinds of hardcore: time spent and difficulty.
In terms of time spent, I don't really like to do one thing for a long while, I easily get bored. I only have 1 job at 70, and I can't even imagine grinding out out Astrope, omnicrafters, 99 ex primal kills for the mounts, etc, haha.
In terms of difficulty, I killed 1 ex primal (considered by most raiders to be an easy one, MTQ even sounded bored while narrating her guide) and 1 Savage boss. That's nothing compared to most people who do challenging content!
But that's OK, I am happy having fun at my own pace. I will never have rare titles or Savage best-in-slot and that is OK, I am glad to just keep improving as a player and being the best I can!
4 minutes? Honestly, I would have to see a timed video to believe it. Remember, the run has to be SYNCED to get the moogle stones and it takes time to get through the dungeon. I HIGHLY doubt things are dying instantly, except with sting and if you pull too many, you will wipe.
Hey Siglinde dear, if you read this, I found out that the horse you get from collecting all the other ARR primal horses DOES do side saddle. I bet all those lesser ponies also do it, but I never use them so I don't know. But since they look a LOT like the unicorn, I would guess yes.
