RNG is a fickle entity, capricious as the wind. And this makes for a fitting segue into the celebration of the acquisition of not one, but TWO fine additions to my collection. And, unlike a certain chronically coughing cyborg in another beloved franchise, these two won't be stolen right out from under me.
After thrashing the primal Garuda numerous times (and desynthesizing numerous other weapons to make a veritable mountain of demimateria), I finally acquired "Garuda's Blood," a finely-crafted blade whose construction was doubtless inspired by the primal I had felled (numerous times) to acquire it.
the blade itself is of a white-silver hue, the colour of a billowing gust of wind, though it blends into the green of wind-aspected aether closer to the hilt, a respectable artistic choice that certainly calls to mind Garuda's chosen element of wind, and a single feather hangs at the end of the hilt, closely tying the sword to its chosen primal. The scabbard shares a similar aesthetic with a more pronounced feather at the end, and a latticework of gold wrapping around it, no doubt intended to show the reverence and value that the Ixal place on their deity.
And as for that veritable mountain of demimateria from all those desynthesized weapons? Good though the Ixal crafter may have been, I have iterated on their design, imbuing the aspect of wind into the blade itself resulting in "The Blood of the Vortex," a sword resonating with the primal's essence itself! The very element of wind courses through the blade, radiating wind aspected aether outwards.
And so, I add both these fine additions to my collection and continue my search for more! As long as I'm in the Black Shroud, there is yet another primal that I may contend with; Ramuh!
