I have nothing to hide and nothing to lose. I reached Level 50 Blue Mage and now have 23 actions learned, which is the same amount my good friend Georgette Lemare has, and they are the same actions, too. The only advantage I have to Georgie is that my accessories are at a higher item level. But otherwise, we had to buy two of the same Magus Attire and the Spirit of the Whalaqee for glamour purposes. That meant some of my relic job gear had to be moved to Ryiel Rayford's hands.

But now, Red Mage is definitely the only job I need to level for sure and it will be a high-priority once I wrap up my samurai venturing some time later on. I needed to get blue mage to 50 immediately because I had no intention of having to level two jobs at the same time. Consequently, Ryouichi Tsukuyomi Kyougoku has reached a milestone. He is now a Rank 20 chocobo. Fully trained. 10 Defender, 10 Attacker, 10 Healer. All 30 skills learned, with 30 unique barding sets. 30 for 30. Eat your heart out, ESPN.

So now, for the next two moons, at least until the next wave of Main Scenario work, my focus is on Red Mage...as soon as my Samurai work is completed...to go with the imminent obligatory amount of Echo buffs required to advance through.

Some people were surprised I got all the way to 50 on Blue Mage. In one run of Tam-Tara Deepcroft in which I learned Mind Blast, some adventurers were shocked that a Level 50 BLU was in the party. (the dungeon was level-synced.) It's not rocket science. Get as many actions as possible, such as 1000 Needles, Sticky Tongue, White Wind (the Cure spell), Mighty Guard, Toad Oil and Off-guard, then use the aforemented skills with Swiftcast in rotation with Water Cannon and a companion (Free Stance when not learning from a monster teacher in the overworld, otherwise Healer Stance) and several other EXP buffs on trash at the same level as you or higher and chain away.

It can be a long grind if you don't have EXP buffs (food, Ala Mhigan Earrings, the Heat of Battle II if you are in an FC) in play, so it's important if you want to one-day a leveling run from 1 to 50 on BLU, buff accordingly and improve your gear as you go. Eventually, you'll want the Ironworks gear and accessories from Mor Dhona to start then you replace the gear with the Magus Attire and Spirit of the Whalaqee.
