The Past: Grom Dreadbane was raised by a caring but poor family. His parents were humble Hyur, making ends meet by dabbling in the crafts and selling wares in local bazaars. Never satisfied with the gil in his pocket, Grom studied the crafts and markets, looking for a means to manipulate it to his advantage and make it big. However, his patience was far too little to continue such a pursuit. At the age of fifteen, against his parents wishes he left home. With little knowledge of combat and a pack full of hand made gear, he set out for mercenary work hoping for fast profits. Young and foolhardy as he was, he also had deadly determination. He took severe beatings through the years as he practiced several weapon styles, and in a near fatal incident acquired a deep scar across his left eye. Through sheer willpower, and the glorious feeling of a hefty pocket of gil, he quickly became adapt in arms, taking up the axe as his weapon of choice. Several years passed, he became hardened, stronger, and one of the most active mercenaries in the land. Travelling from city to city looking for work, his pockets were full and his nights spent freely, living it up in local taverns and shows during his journeys. One night he stumbled upon a performance by a talented young Miqo'te dancer by the name of Yoona Eun. Captivated by her beauty and charm, he offered her a drink and immediately felt a deep connection with her. He fell for her fast, and before leaving asked her to accompany him on his journeys, speaking highly of the glory of adventure and the promise of plentiful gil. When she accepted the offer, Grom suddenly found himself in pursuit of something other than gil, Yoona's heart.

The Present: It had been nearly a year since Grom had started his adventures with Yoona. Spending most of his time staying in the Ul'dah region, his life as a mercenary has become much more lively with Yoona's company. Combined, their spendthrift ways would normally lead to a road of poverty, but their combined talents in craftsmanship and teamwork on the field keep the gil flowing. Always looking for ways to impress and charm his love, Grom continues his pursuit to be one of the greatest mercenaries there ever was.

Dreams/Goals: To one day be famed for his heroics in battle, and well rewarded from it. Never satisfied until he's achieved it all, Grom plans on someday being one of the wealthiest mercenaries to have ever lived. Once retired, he intends on enjoying his wealth and living his days to their fullest with Yoona Eun.
