I corrupted one of my friends to go catboy

THE CONTEXT
In October 2021, I started playing Final Fantasy 14 and because I was very uninspired at the time I made my first character on Phoenix a Female Midlander Hyur called Moira Sunweaver. I will admit I had fun with her I liked her little emotes, especially the Bee's Knees, it looked very sexy on her ;) but there was a spark of joy missing from my playthrough with her.
Over the course of my playthrough of ARR and early HW, before EW early access dropped, I was feeling kind of burned out of the character. So I made 2 characters, Ninico Starlily over on Zodiark who is just the cutest little Lala you'll ever see :D and Elril Amrath over on Lich, a Keeper of the Moon Male Miqo'te, who I immediately took to while speed running the MSQ on him.
Long story short, I fantasia'd Moira into Elril on Christmas Eve and started with a new main, Elril Moonweaver.

Since then I have been doing 2 things:
1. Constantly judging other people's catboys in Limsa, in Gridania, in Ul'dah and what I mean by that is evaluating how great they look and/or how beautiful they are and/or how unique they are. I have become VERY obnoxious with this and my sister said as much, because I always put my own character as the height of perfection.
Some of my favorite people in the game play catboys or I've found while obnoxiously judging their catboys in major cities XD
I think Male Miqo'te lend themselves to be very cool / very beautiful characters if done right, as such I cringe whenever I see a person running around with bad ass armor but a generic looking catboy. Because the options to make your catboy distinct are there! And are available, only people aren't willing to put in the effort to actually make them look good and it's just .... so sad.
2. Not-so-subtly nudging some of my friends, who I know are catboy appreciators into changing to catboys.

My first victi.... er.... I mean, success we will call E and she believes that catboys are very hot. She wasn't very sold on catboys at first, she was still considering turning her Female Hyur into a Lala (same as me to be honest) but I remember I spent like 30 minutes writing a dissertation on the Pros and Cons of Female Lalas vs Male Miqo'te.
With a bit of help from my old friend the Internet, where I uploaded many a screenshot to show to E, she finally considered going catboy (after around a week of fervent persuading XD). So I made myself busy and started making appearance templates to show to her and in the end she settled on the one I called "Hot Chocolate Catboy".
Later we dubbed her catboy Eden and MY GOD is he gorgeous! Almost rivals my own but in a completely different way. I kinna wish I was the one playing him so I can constantly take awesome screenshots of him. Thing is, whenever I say that he is gorgeous that it feels like I'm tooting my own horn because I was the one who gave her his appearance and the specifics of them in the first place.
I am glad Eden a.k.a Hot Chocolate Catboy now exists in the game, being someone's Warrior of Light :)

Either way, I hope you forgive this innocent little blog where I'm exposing how obnoxious I am in my appreciation for the Male Miqo'te! I just really love them and I am so excited whenever I find people who are catboy appreciators and it shows in how much time and effort they put into making their catboys look cool, unique and/or handsome.

I am saddened to hear she decided to become a Miqo'te instead of a Lalafell. She will no doubt regret that decision when the Day of Reckoning comes.
I started ff14 in October 2021 too BUT im still on ARR 😂😂 150 hours.....i get sooo sidetracked with glam , photography and doing the same as you in that my head is looking around examining everyone in limsa or gridainia to see what their glam is and how good a character they have created 😂😂😂😂
I see. I have more than 1100 hours (yes, I have no life. Had, more like. I started at my new job this Monday) and I've reached patch 5.2 of Shadowbringers. However much I get sidetracked by:
- admiring my character (as I do an unhealthy amount of screenshots with him)
- reviewing cutscenes
- leveling alt jobs
- gearing up my alt jobs
I usually have the MSQ in mind. I want to see the story further. I want to see Elril be the hero of his story and that is motivation enough for me to keep going.
1100 hours i wish i could be so dedicated, or that i had more time , it is tough to find the time with work and other commitments 😬
